@MrChunkwhite uh pleas look up the whole play so you can see what lead up to this unfortunate injury if i remember correctly mcgahee got a pitch or a pass to the outside and the ohio state player took a good angle and took out his legs.im guessing your a lineman cause u keep talking about your "blocking" ability so i can understand if your ignorant towards any open field tackles its not a chop block tht gets flaged if your outside the tackle box its a tackle and the defense is aloud to do it

thats not a cheap shot at all... saftys are taught to go low or rap up the legs cuz thats the easiest way to make a tackle in the open field. football is a contact sport, people are going to get hurt. it just so happens to a great player in a big time game. Allen was nowhere in the wrong. and to yall saying his celebration after was wrong... im pretty sure he had no clue what kind of damage he had done at the time. no athlete gets pleasure from potentially ruining another athletes career.

i remembered watching this during the game, and even the broadcaster was like "HOLY FUCK!" yeah, it was painful just to watch him take that hit. BUT the tackle by Will Allen was textbook and not cheap at all. Cryami fans can bitch about 100 things that happened during that game, but its all in the past..

What's crazy about this is that not only did he come back to football after this injury but he is having a pretty productive career. Nothing but respect for McGahee. I rooted for OSU that day but you have to tip your hat to him for manning up and coming back from that.

@realrocky8591 he didnt fake that injury douche bag. he had to spend a year out of football because of that and tore his acl, pcl, and mcl and had to get surgeries for it... watch the video his knee went fucking backwards... you dont fake injuries like that dude.

@rambo7276 as a fan on the outside looking in, the obvious answer is the lingering affects of constant impact to the head, ask a player and I'm pretty sure they'd take the dementia etc. over the major gaps in playing time or even the ending of careers.

@TheCompulsionToKill Of course he lowered his head. mcgahee is a great back. If you tried to tackle him high he runs through you for 6. And you are also taught to lower your head at the last second when tackling so you do not hyperextend your neck.

If McGahee didn't get hurt, no one would have ever said this hit was wrong/bad/illegal or whatever...Hit looked clean to me, just McGahee got injured in the process...I remember people were saying his career was over, but boy were they wrong!!!

Good clean hit. I don't what you guys are smoking. You're taught to lower your shoulder in football and make the hit. It's unfortunate that Willis got hurt. It's awesome that we won the game. Go Buckeyes!

@evocati2008 - Will Allen has been in the NFL since he was drafted in 2004. He's currently a safety on the Steelers so he and McGahee's Ravens will meet twice this year.
