Not even close. He uses those examples because people can relate to them.
The message wouldn't come across as strongly as it does now if it weren't
for us being able to relate to it.
This guy is pathetic. He uses Apple, Wright and MLK over and over. I wonder
WHY? Because he want himself and his course to be as popular and innovative
as they are. Nice try.
School Shootings: Not About Guns, It's About Loneliness | Simon Sinek and Glenn Beck
Bestselling author and TED Talks speaker Simon Sinek has a theory about the alarming rise in school shootings: it's not about guns, it's about kids being lonely ...
Well duh. We know what is wrong with the kids. But you neo-cons even blame
that with your political agenda (no drugs, anti depressents make you
killers - retards).
But what you are doing is shifting the focus.
The world is full of people with issues. Guns allow these people to
massacre large numbers (incl. children).
And the last thing we want is some action movie watching fantastist running
to our aid tripping over his own shoelaces and blowing our daughters head
off.
If you need a penis extension so bad, buy a porsche. That's what the other
stupid (but sane) people do.
+TennesseeGentleman Snub nosed? Matching set?And people do not successfully defend themselves with guns everyday. More like once a lifetime, for one in ten thousand. What they actually do is shoot their kids, wives and themselves everyday by the hundred. Then lose or sell the gun to god knows which psycopath.
+Simon Dover If gun ownership is about penis length why would we carry pocket pistol snubnoses? Rather than focus on gun control which doesn't work, why not focus on the root cause? That is the point. That is why the focus needs to be shifted. BTW, people successfully defend themselves with guns every day. Just sayin'
Simon Sinek - Denmark 2013
The ideas and principles Simon talks about resonate very strongly with me, in short I believe what he believes and I want to help spread his message.
//GembaAcademy.com/sinek - Today's episode is one of our most exciting yet. We had the privilege of interviewing Simon Sinek, whose 2009 TED talk has ...
Business School Impact #3 with Simon Sinek - From Managing Employees to Creating Fans
On Oct 27th 2014, the third Telekom Austria Group Business School Impact Event took place. More than 100 guests were eager to meet Simon Sinek and to ...
Great speech on one level.... but this guy talks about integrity and
serving others and not being racist and treating everyone like family....
mean while he seems to be glorifying the war on Afghanistan, a people who
are no real threat to the US and there still is no official declaration of
war against Afghanistan. This country is being unjustly occupied.... where
is the talk about this injustice? Why is the military being racist against
them? War is just wrong plain and simple !!!!!!!!
There is a lot of hypocritical talk here because he talks how officers eat
last, which makes them heros and leaders.... WRONG.... Real leaders realize
that War in general is wrong and this war in particular is unjust for
several reasons (but that's getting off the point here). Real leaders
should stop this war altogether, period. Afghanistan are people just like
us and they do not deserve to have their houses bombed and land taken over.
This guy does not talk about the BIG PICTURE !!!!
I like Simon, he's inspired me on many an occasion yet in this speech... I
also when stuck in a rut have thought "try help others" but this feeling
only lasts a while because it's not 100% genuine. You need to love your job
and your service to others, not try and help others just to feel better -
that's tricking the mind. And, I dislike being negative but 4 days? Trying
for 4 days, even in a war zone... it feels a bit like a spoilt brat. 4 days
is nothing.
this is one of my favorites of Simon Sinek. I spent some time as a US
Marine, and now I am growing in the world of business. I am currently
branding my company to become a speaker and business trainer. I hope to
explore the great traits of military organizations and how those traits
adapt into business. I hope to meet Simon along the way.......-db
Simon always has a way to put the perfect words to feelings I've had for
months/years. I happened to see this for the first time after touring
Arlington National Cemetery, which makes it that much more special. Thank
you, Simon, for continuing to share your experiences with us.
This is AWESOME. Thank you, Simon for your inspiration and encouragement.
Thanks for sharing your insights about true leadership. Imagine what the
world would be like if the vast majority of people in the world did feel
fulfilled and appreciated!
The Afghan story seems made up (did he stay there for 5 days? or did he
leave on Saturday after he had the epiphany?). He has a point about
happiness and fulfillment. It is very credible when he doesn't accompany it
with a fake story.
@Rugbydre I agree, I like his talks but the only reference to the Afghan
people was the rocket fire. Anyone half intelligent with moral values would
see the war as unethical.
Are you sure you know who those that serve are serving and is it right to
inspire those who are inspired to follow orders to serve the wrong purpose
and the wrong people?
Love it - "Officers eat last" and "Care about the people". Leadership can
come from simplicity and modesty, don't have to but It surely looks better
when it does.
We would never fire our children or suspend our parents—so why do we readily adopt that practice when it comes to managing employees in the business ...
Why the little flower is in his pocket? I think that I know the answer now.
I've figured it out by myself. maybe someday we'll meet each other and I'll
thank you for all that you without knowing have done for me.
It is true: Leadership and Parenting are more less the same, which
unfortunately, our contemporary leaders seldom practise, leavening their
followers in a state of orphanage.
