Lift assist or hiking/spiltboarding? up just wondering cause I'm heading to
the utah area in late Jan looking for some nice spots to hit trying to
avoid the resorts but worst case I might do some slackcountry snowboarding

All three involved. You Hike up and out of 9990 at the Canyons, Hike South
up Dutch Draw. Then skin over to Main Mac and West Monitor . google
wasatchbackcountryskiing and there is a great map you can use
