Disney Infinity 3.0 - Space Travel & Space Battles News
Disney Infinity 3.0 will feature space travel from planet to planet, as well as epic space battles! Check out the first footage right here! Make sure to check out ...
Disney Infinity 3.0 is a giant downgrade. The 1.0 and 2.0 playsets aren't
compatible and they still haven't bothered to create Water mechanics or
four legged animal mechanics. If you're not a star wars fan there is no
reason to get 3.0 at all.
+A Very Merry Unboxing Agreed. Don't like it - don't support it. For everything it doesn't have, it does so, SO much better. Heck, even their Star Wars is looking better than EA's Battlefront. I'm excited.
You obviously know nothing about gaming. having watered down (minus the water) annual releases is the quickest way to be seen as half assed cash grabbing franchise by the community. There is a difference between not getting everything and not even being up to par with the current generation of gaming. MINECRAFT (a game with a SIGNIFICANTLY smaller budget) should not be offering so much more than a game made by the largest media conglomerate on the planet. You're not fooling anyone but yourself
+Jim Dot Beep I said the community expects to much, not that they don't expect much. Yes the mechanics were enhanced from what they were in 1.0, and them be enhanced more in 3.0. Water is coming in 4.0, so be patient, or don't, that's up to you. I, along with my boys, enjoy the heck out of Disney Infinity 1.0 and 2.0. We'll enjoy 3.0 even more. We appreciate the game Disney made. Sure we want more, who wouldn't, but NO company gives everything from the start, it's ridiculous to think otherwise. NO company had full backward compatibility, but you expect it with Disney Infinity because you feel Disney should Pau by a whole other set of rules, apart from everyone else. I'm done with the conversation because it's going round and round. It's your opinion against mine, and we're both entitled to them. At this point you're just coming across as a troll, bashing a company and product just to see what kind of reaction you get. I'm sorry I played along to fuel the fire. Take it easy man. Maybe I'll see you on a Lego Dimensions comment wall at some point. Hopefully that game will give you what you're looking for.....until it's second year anyway.
+A Very Merry Unboxing They don't expec much becaue they're Disney? Are you serious with that. DIsney is the single largest media conglomerate ever to exist! All those Big Budget marvel movies were them. Those giant theme parks that are worth billions are made by them. And are you kidding me with the enhanced mechanics crap. They don't even let you build toy boxes with water. MINECRAFT has water. Water has been a staple of gaming since before the 8 bit ear. and Charging $70 a year to play with $10 plastic toys that could have easily been made to work on the could starter set is exploitative. If you can't see that you're a moron.
+Jim Dot Beep I don't feel they're taking advantage of us at all. I actually think the community expects to much simply because they're "Disney". I loved 1.0. 2.0 was a step up because it gave us full flight AND Marvel...but I was disappointed in the lack of playsets, along with INteriors and revamped Toy Box mechanics. 3.0 Is giving Space battles, upgraded INteriors, a Farming system, more playsets, keeping Disney and Marvel and now throwing in Star Wars, better racing mechanics, a combat system overhaul along with upgraded Toy Box game discs. That's hardly a downgrade from 1.0 or 2.0. They're constantly improving the experience AND they listen to their customer base by releasing figures that are requested. As for people buying Disney Infinity to play a Star Wars game, you'd be surprised. Not only are there Disney fans who also like Marvel and Star Wars, but there are Marvel fans who dislike Disney and like Star Wars, Disney fans that dislike Marvel but like Star Wars and Star Wars fans that like Disney, Marvel, or both. I'd imagine there will even be people who only like Star Wars who pick up Disney Infinity 3.0 to only collect the Star Wars aspect of it. That's the beauty of the product Disney puts out. They're not taking advantage of anyone, you're just upset because they're not running their business the way you feel they should. Don't like it? Don't support, it. I said it before, I'll say it again. Take your money elsewhere. Then you won't have to complain about it on these videos/boards/forums. You can instead complain about how you don't feel the new company you're paying money to isn't meeting up to your expectations.
+Jim Dot Beep It's really simple, Jim. If you don't like it - don't purchase it. There is no requirement too and the other thing to keep in mind is the resources. They've had various dev. teams working for years on this stuff - and I can only imagine how insane that management process is. It's not perfect, but it's, by far, the best product Disney Interactive has ever put out. It appeals to all age groups, game genres and elsewhere. Unless you dislike Disney, there's not much room to dislike what they're doing. Sure the business model is pricey, but it's what will allow them to grow into bigger and better things (ala Marvel and now Star Wars in 3.0).
Each of these starter sets cost over $60 Disney is making ore than enough money from constantly selling us figures and playsets. They can only keep taking advantage of us if we let them. That shouldn't really be that hard this time around. I doubt that many people bought Disney Infinity to play a star wars game.
+Jim Dot Beep I totally agree with you on the planned obsolescence, I guess I just don't mind because that's just how things are done today, in everything. I can't think of one single console game where you can just keep on keeping on, maintaining everything from past releases. It happens, kind of, in PC games (WoW for example), but even in that, there are things that get left behind, and you have to buy new expansions to update the game. As said though, some things get lost. You can no longer get certain items, updates overwrite older levels, making them the newer versions of those levels, etc. Planned obsolescence is a part of life, from phones to televisions, to tablets, to washing machines. Everything in today's day and age is built with an expiration date, forcing you to upgrade and buy the new stuff. It would be different if other companies were doing as you wish Disney Infinity would, but the fact of the matter is that no one else is, so why should Disney be any different? I may not like it any more than you do, but I understand it. I'd much rather they spend time and resources providing a few extra characters, or an extra play set/toy box game disc, than to be able to play in play sets that I've already beaten time and again and wouldn't get any real enjoyment out of now that the new stuff is here.
+A Very Merry Unboxing The annual release scheduled is the reason all the various versions suck so hard. If they had ONE version that was meant to last for more than one year and focus on selling figures and playsets they could make a lot of money and make a far superior product. This is a blatant case of planned obsolescence
+Jim Dot Beep It's not about power, it's about time and money. As for everything Disney related, they are doing that, but there's no way to put out everything at once. They had a Gus the mule disc for crying out loud. If they did everything at once, there would be no reason for future games. I'm sorry a game gets to you this badly. You always have the option to just pay for something else.
Whatever the other toys to life brands are doing doesn't make this okay. The Name Disney Infinity is clearly meant to convey that everything and anything disney related is at your disposal. That's obvious Bullshit. The Next gen hardware is more than powerful enough to sufficiently represent the Disney brand with playsets. 3.0 is still a rip off
+Jim Dot Beep None of these types of games are backwards compatible. Skylanders doesn't allow you to play past play set adventures. The amount of money and time coding spent to do that, would result in fewer characters and play sets for the new version. 3.0 is also not going to require you to buy a new starter set. 2.0 didn't either. Both had the ability to do digital only if you wanted for a lesser cost. Most people went with a starter anyway because it came out cheaper than piecing it together. Every company wants to make money for as little as possible in return, it's the nature of the business. No one is forcing you to buy/play Disney Infinity, but from the mouths of my children, they prefer it over Skylanders, which is why we didn't go with Trap Team this go around. You have the option of Skylanders, Amiibo (which I really just don't understand...I mean you don't need the character to play the character, but it gives you an extra power up or customization options if you buy the character??? That's exploitation right there lol.), or you could go with Lego Dimensions. I personally want that, but the cost related to getting all of it, excluding exclusives, is somewhere around $600 Yikes!!!
+Infiniteer Adventures Room to grow? More like room to exploit. Each one of these starter sets costs $65-70. for that much money you should be able to expect to use any playset you want. and after spending all of that money all the playsets will be obsolete in 3 years tops. Iv'e never seen planed obsolescence like this in my whole life. And that Hot commodities stuff doesn't make not having Donald Duck (Who we all know kids have heard of) unalienable until 2.0. And if the concern is whether or not kids have heard of the characters where are Dipper and Mable where was the rest of the Phineas and Ferb series? And as I've already explained all of the classic movies are known to all generations. Nobody had to explain who Aladdin and Jasmine are. The only franchises that kids wouldn't recognize are the TV shows that aren't on the air anymore and yet Darkwing Duck's gas gun and motorcycle are somehow good enough to be in the game. It's obvious what's going on here Disney Infinity is a watered down product design to make a lot of money for a little as possible in return
Well those are hot commodities and from a business standpoint, it makes sense to do what's most familiar with younger kids (target demographic) when choosing playsets. Their goal is to monetize to grow. And while I agree that I'd love a Nemo playset for example, there's always 4.0. Every iteration thus far has been a great improvement and their growth and potential is sky high.
+Infiniteer Adventures the official Disney infinity twitch stream they did a couple of days ago specifically said 3.0 is not going to do water mechanics so Finding Nemo CAN'T be in it. Also these flavor of the month playsets are a joke, the strength of the Disney brand is it's long lasting franchises that retain popularity and relevance through multiple generations. The name Disney Infinity is clearly meant to convey that anything and everything Disney will be at the disposal of the player. Most of the franchises they've managed to actually include wouldn't even crack my top 30 favorite Disney Franchises. Scrooge McDuck, The Beast, Pinocchio, the 7 Dwarves, Dr.Doofenshrts, Peter Pan, Dipper and Mable, Darkwing Duck, Woody, Goofy, and Pluto are nowhere to be found but Lone Ranger, and the Star Wars prequels get their own playsets?! Even you have to admit the choice of Playsets is down right ridiculous. If they can only include so precious few of them you'd think that would make them prioritize more as opposed to less.
+Jim Dot Beep A new Marvel set is coming which includes Ultron and Hulkbuster Ironman, and, those who have seen Inside Out are calling it Pixar's best film ever. We get a new playset for that as well. While I also wish the playsets were compatible, the new mechanics in 3.0 look amazing. Plus, I would love to see classic Disney and Nemo and stuff, and I'm sure it's coming in the future. Also, how can you NOT be a Star Wars fan?

Blitz-winger, you like playing this game? This game is so girly! How old

introducing this right to You-Tubers.)
Disney Infinity 3.0 - Toybox Takeover Details & News
Learn what happens when you mix dungeon-crawlers (ala Diablo) together with Disney Infinity 3.0! Welcome to the first details on, the upcoming, Toy Box ...
+taino bravo The more they put in the community's hands, the better Disney Infinity continues to get. Paired with the amazing improvements and creativity with what the developers are bringing us in 3.0... well, it's like they say, the "possibilities are endless!"
+Infiniteer Adventures That will be nice, because that part you mentioned about there being a lag..... a half second lag behind when you push the button. That was spot on.
Hope we get another tower defense game as well.
Actually like the Brave one better, the wooden bear enemies were cool.
Also partially because after going through both Spider Man and Avengers
play sets was getting old fighting the same enemies.
Hi my friend , I wanted to tell you as a new subscriber that your channel
is one of the best channels I have ever seen in my life ! Thanks for the
videos my BFF :D ;) !!!
I really like this idea. It will give the Disney Original Figures something
to do, like real missions. The community toy boxes are ok. Sometimes
glitchy. So having the studios create these will be cool for all the
figures that dont have play sets. What would also be cool if they ported
over Infinity 1.0 for the next gen consoles. Those are still my fav
playsets and its a bummer we can't play them on Xbox One or PS4.
+Martin E115 I agree. I LOVED the 1.0 Toyboxes. I also agree that I'm glad they're giving us more to do with our older characters beyond the Toyboxes created by the community. I really enjoy all aspects of this game, but I definitely really am enjoying this news around 3.0.
I'm SUPER stoked for this Toy Box game disc. I think the premise for the
story behind the disc is well thought out and I could totally see it
happening in a movie. It sounds like it's going to be a load of fun. I
truly hope we see more than 1 of each of these new Toy Box discs. I'd
personally like to see 2 to 3 of each and would LOVE some holiday themed
discs to top things off hehe.
+A Very Merry Unboxing I agree. I actually really enjoyed the Escape To The Kyln from 2.0 - especially the Exploration Survival Mode. My friends and I ranked up characters for hours there. It def. could see improvements, and it's clear this mode is aiming to address that. I'm not the best builder, but I LOVE the Toyboxes and I'm really happy they're giving us MORE to do outside of both the Playset and Toybox. I'm pretty excited.

you know they should implement a super cool DLC or a super update with
dragon ball z character like you playing as goku bardock or everyone in dbz
yeaaah in a cool open world like the dragon ball one i think it would make
a lot of people buy the wiiu and that game
I regret bying this game for me and my kids... It feels unfinished.
Impossible to build anything that looks good in this game. Everthing is so
square and lack details.
The reason why it looks odd and not finished is because its art style is to make everything look like a plastic toy, thats what there trying to aim for...
+DisneyTV That was a response to a different tweet regarding a certain number of playsets, it was said directly that more are supposed to be coming from the team. Two different conversations.
Well, JV said that it is FALSE, but there might be more, but as we all
know, they make us think there are more, but either way I would rather
improve the toy box or improve how the play sets are
here is the tweet on twitter:

People say that it could be toy box expansions, who knows!

Two different conversations. Could it all change last minute, probably. But this video was a reference to a different conversation than that one.

Best-case scenario would to have a play set focusing on both Tron: Legacy and Tron: Uprising. Tron and Beck would be packaged with the play set, with Kevin Flynn, CLU, and, perhaps, Paige as additional figures. The story takes the player back and forth from Tron City to Argon City in order to build support for the rebellion and stop CLU and Tesler's latest scheme.
+ChazPlaysMC I'm really hoping for a Tron playset. They should do it since there are two Tron figures that they could put into one of the box set thingies.
