Dachshunds were bred to hunt and raccoon dogs are an invasive species in Finland.

It's great to see the dachs doing their thing. So proud and hearty. It's just that in this case the raccoon dogs (monogamous creatures) really weren't threatening or encroaching on anyone.  Perhaps the fellows are going to make...what..a fur hat?

I personally enjoy seeing my dog going after the rodents and other pests around my neighbour hood, it seems to make her really happy and complacent with her lifestyle. See I find that laughable. I adopted my dog to look after him - not to use him to hunt. They didn't just spring out of thin air looking like they do with the mentality they have. We did that to them. I'll happily teach my dog not to kill anything thanks very much. Breeding dogs for specific purposes has some merit and a hell of a lot of drawbacks.

+Christopher Rapczynski We definitely plan on upgrading this suit when we have the time. For now, we have been taking a vacation from the suit since it consumed so much of our time in the last six months.The stuff we painted on was just white latex house paint that you can get at any home improvement store in big gallon buckets. It has the same effect as other "name brand" products but costs less. It takes a little longer to dry since it's meant for the outside of houses, but the results were just what we needed for this project.
