+mazer5681 Pixel had slipped a disc in his back. We had back surgery on him which fixed this issue. He did have some minor "slippage" throughout the rest of his life. Dachshunds are prone to back issues, and our vet urged us to try and not "elevate" him at all. Dachshunds should not be jumping, leaping, running up and down stairs and hopping onto sofas and beds. After his surgery Pixel lived a great life, but unfortunately we lost him last year.

me too. My 5 year old daschund passed away recently... she had Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia, but had been also reverse sneezing for about 6 months prior. I have another dachshund I just adopted and he started the reverse sneezing like the one who passed away. Instantly I thought the same thing could happen. :/
