First, The video is very good, and it is good to buy just one phone in a
while, I remember when I first got an android phone which was 3 weeks ago,
It was REALLY awesome! I think that you should go to the place, you have
nothing to lose, and if you wait for your roommate to get it for you, you
will like, which results in being MORE torn-up about the phone, so I advise
you to tell HIM to get you one and you will repay him when he comes back,
or you can just go with whatever plans you have left...
Though it would be better to go to the actual store, because delivary takes
time, more than 40 min. thats still will make you torn up, on top of that,
you will be torn-up while they are delivering the phone to you...SO I
suggest for you to head out to the store...that it if you didn't like my
first comment down below this one! XD
Just my 2 cents but I have watched many reviews and the Mytouch 4G seems to
me at least to be a better phone (albeit the reviews say the front camera
video chat is not so hot and a little choppy). The original Nexus was an
outstanding phone and did warrant the hype it got but the new Nexus, not so
much.
Do you really like it better than the iPhone or is it just that you don't
have to jailbreak this one? I really wish you would allow comments more
often Anyways Merry Christmas From the NW burbs of mpls PS checkout the
parking nightmare on the news in mpls
my tough 4g is a faster phone on 4g ,also there are to many gooogle phones
coming out every 3mos - 4mos and i feel the platform isnt there yet ..your
nexus s will be out dated in 6mos...
LG Google Nexus 4 Review ... the most raw smartphone to hit the scene direct from Google, manufactured by LG. Check out our review of the hardware & how it ...
Great fair review Dave. I am glad that when you mentioned the glass front
and back you compared it to the iPhone 4 and 4s. Many people just say that
the glass on the front and back of the nexus 4 is a bad design choice
despite the amount of high praise they gave the iPhone for using glass. Am
really glad that you cleared that up. Thumbs up
Its an outstanding device and along with the note 2 the best phone
available today, however it will get blown away by this years upcoming top
end phones like the xperia z, htc one and s4. I think this is the year
1080p 440ppi android devices realy wipe the floor with apple and anybody
else for that matter tech wise.
Could you upload some screenshots of the battery stats page in the setting
and add links to them in the description so that we could see a bit more
accurate how much you are able to use the phone to get a full day out of it?
Dave, as usual a great review....it just makes me want to have it or I
might get for my wife. Looks wise does it look a bit like the iPhone 3G?
Can you show examples of the camera in action....video and stills?
Android is great isn't it! I like to use emulators, connecting a Wii remote
to play and connecting to the TV. I would not buy the Nexus 4 because it
has no memory card slot, I like using menory card.
no give away Dave? I've been waiting for a Nexus 4 give away. I haven't
bought one because it's not available here in India and Unlocking phones is
illegal now if I get an unlocked one frm the US
Fantastic phone, only shame is lack of LTE so isn't very "future proof",
have feeling be an update round the corner. Although may be to cut cost for
that incredible price! - @Gadget_Ry
Awesome review Dave, this is certainly one of the best phones available,
it's a shame it's so hard to get one, they sell out way too quick on Google
Play :/ Keep up the great videos!
Great Video Dave i have always had a little soft spot for this device and
the price is at a sweet point this video made me decide to take the plunge
once i have more funds ;)
I really enjoyed your review, thank you for taking your time to do so :-D
Why I'm buying a Nexus 4 - My reasons for trying Android!
This is not an 'Android vs iOS' video. It's purely my reasons for trying out Android 4.2, I'm not getting rid of my iPhone 5! PRICING & PRODUCT INFO: Nexus 4: ...
I used an IPhone since the first one, and i really did get bored. Apple
needs to step out of their comfort zone and try new things (That Work(Apple
Maps)). I switched to the nexus 4 and i feel like i will not be going back
to apple. I have tried every IPhone and i promise you the screen and the OS
are really amazing. There really isn's a flaw in tis device. I feel like
you will really enjoy the different ways you can customize it! I think it's
more of LG's fault about the stalk... Can't Wait!
I'm one of the lucky owners of a Nexus 4, was incredibly frustrating with
all the delays, but hey, looking past that, this is a great device.
Probably not the best out there specs-wise, but it is a brilliant,
brilliant device. Pisses all over my old S3 :) You'll love it! When it does
go back on sale, of course lol
D smooothest android upto now! My reason for buying it?well i wanna bring
it to its limits! Ive tried opening almost a dozen app, downloading
games&music at d same time a while playing on it and leaving my browser w
ten open tabs and by d way uploadong vids n photo all at d same time, pretty
insane huh!nexus 4 won!
I have a Nexus 4. Purchased on the release date (ordered it in my physics
class!). It got backordered, but I did get it a couple of weeks after. This
is probably the BEST Android experience you can get right now, aside from
okay battery life. Fast, smooth, sharp, and overall just seamless. Get a
case though.
I have tried most operating systems. I am an apple junkie who got a windows
phone-hated it , and then got the nexus 4 . Itis my only android a,omg my
ipad mini, Mac, iPod touch, nano, shuffle. Etc. . And I love it. Android is
a very quick popular emerging OS , and it is doing a great job
although i do love apple i think my next mobile purchase will be the
samsung galaxy s4 because as you said iOS is very limited with what you can
do and although the jailbreak community is still going strong it most
definately will not last forever or at last i dont think i will :P
did u get your nexus 4.i finally got one yesterday and so far it is amazng
coming from a iphone 4s this thing is a bosss being a first time android
user i would like som suggestions on apps to help with my experience.
i'm loving the nexus 4. one advice: you should get a case for it, or at
least a screen protector, because it slides like a hockey puck in a table.
(just to make sure you won't drop it since it has a weak glass build)
Once u went big on the screen I couldn't go back to iphones small screen
size and I love the videos on YouTube hd and all Googles services so I
ended up sticking with android. Apps are getting there as well.
If I were to upgrade (not doing so) I'd switch to Android, and I'd get a
Galaxy Note II. I adore it, and the Nexus 4. All great phones. I'll keep my
iPhone 5 for a while and see how I feel in 2-3 years.
I own a Samsung Galaxy Nexus with the same OS and I personally think it's
awesamazing so if you would for some reason not be able to get the Nexus 4,
I definitely reccomend that one.
i think my nexus 4 is grate, the best thing ive ever brought. but every now
and then i think to myself maybe the samsung s3, becuase their is a lot of
support out their then lg offer!
I like your setup/background, but you should really get away from the
camera. These videos tend to look better when the reviewer shows his or her
face and torso.
Blame google for the stock problem they thought the demand wouldn't be high
so they asked lg to produce a set amount of devices unlike other mobile
company
for indonesian I thinks it's quite worth it, I don't know how most
Indonesian use Blackberry as their main social media, and because there's
so many people use Blackberry, there's a lot people start business from
blackberry, like selling stuffs. And Z10 got the highest specs among other
blackberry. For businessman who already tired with the lagginess of their
blackberry bold series, I think it's time. And no I don't have Z10 :D
I apologize for the interruption, but not everyone is interested in
Android you know. Already, the tech world is really boring with just
Android and iOS taking the lead. There's a thing called competition.
Competition in the tech industry helps to fuel innovation. I'm not trying
to dismiss your opinion at all. I respect you opinion. I'm just simply
stating the facts.
I bought the Z10. Had it for 2 days and returned it. Good phone, but not
even in the same ball park as my Android Note 2. No operating system beats
Android. None, and I literally tried 'em all...even the iPhone 5. Besides a
slightly better app store, Android wins in every other category. BTW, the
Nexus 4 is amazing.
It took me a second to figure out what he meant as well. I think what he
means is that you can access the info without "leaving the lock screen"
instead of "unlock." So it seems that if you have a password or pattern
setup on the device you would have to put that in before you could access
anything.
Then just don't put shit on your lockscreen.... you can't add widgets
without putting in your password, so if you have nothing private on the
lock screen there's nothing to worry or bitch about.... Google is not that
stupid, not Apple or Blackberry stupid.
they may be able to take a look at it, but you still need to unlock it in
order to actually interact with it. So it is useful. You can decide whether
or not the notification is important enough to reply to or not. Of course,
this is my opinion
I just can't do BlackBerry. The Ecosystem isn't there yet for BlackBerry. I
think Rimm has up hill battle. No chance I'd take a risk with that phone
with the galaxy s4 and perhaps the note 3 on the way.
Why does everyone rave about being able to access information without
unlocking a phone? Isn't that part of the point of locking a phone, so
nobody can access any information while it's locked?
I always think blackberry is geeky, android is but it feels simple and
straightforward what i can deal with also i can flash roms etc. Screw that
Blackberry isn't for me
