+Andrew Traphagan actually, they had a system for the longest time where you got points for buying games which could then be redeemed for other games. It's been turned into the gold system, but back in the day, I got about 500 points for each 3ds game purchase I made. Got a couple of older legend of Zelda games for free after a couple of years of buying games. They do it and have for a while, but they don't make it line a thing they generally advertise the hell out of.

+Joseph Hindy Sorry, so many previews and speculations made it seem as if it was nothing more than just a "social app."Also, I find this very peculiar because Nintendo usually hardly does this much "giveaways and discounts" within a point redeeming system. They usually only do that with Pokemon franchise, but that usually done through wifi, McDonalds, or GameStops. This seems to be a step in the right direction for them. Let's just hope that they can keep up with their competitors.

They could do something completely different than other gaming studios and productions. Given the fact that phones now a days can do a lot more, give or take based on RAM, storage, battery, and display specifications. +Andrew Traphagan first of all, the app is more than just social. There are in game items that you earn that you can trade in for discounts on various other games. Second, don't be surprised if future Nintendo games used Miitomo as their gaming hub, similar to xbox love has a social component. There are a lot of potential directions they could take with Miitomo.

Why do you think so many people who wanted to play Nintendo games on their phones had to find and download the best emulators just to play them. I usually watch other people's opinions of a particular subject, add in my personal perceptions, and then make a conclusive decision on the matter. Same case with Miitomo. End point.

+Bizaarkev 33541 Also, I have seen the previews of Miitomo, clearly not impressive by standards. Mainly focuses on Mii creation and socialization, with some camera options and a couple of mini games, but that's it. End point.

+Bizaarkev 33541 Well then make it more of a game and less of a "social platform" app. You would have a better test run for games with games. Plus, you can always update the applications in any mobile OS, so they really do not have a good excuse.

You should pay more attention, Nintendo clearly said that their 1st app was to see how well they do on the mobile platform, if it went as expected they said they'll start making more mobile games
