hi i love chickens i have 14 i did have 15 but then it died but i have a i dont know we haven not found out but we have a golden lakenvelder and 2 brahma and bard rocks

+Jmac Ferguson Sorry about your chicken--I know it can be very sad to lose one! I've never had a Lakenvelder or Brahma. The Brahma's have feathered legs, right? So cute.

It will be soo exciting when you finally find one! My profile pic is a shot of the first egg we ever got. I was thrilled! My husband and I split it for breakfast. LOL we got like 3 bites each b/c they are little when they first start laying.

+juan vasquez I believe they start around 18-20 weeks old. I'm not positive how old mine were when they started but somewhere in that range.
