very informative. thanks. on the inverter based compressor technology, manufacturers claim like "consumes less power than 2 CFL" and "uses less power than 60W CFL" doesnt mean much. LG clamins the "2 CFL" thing and whirlpool claims "60W CFL" at least the latter gives us some direct comparision of power used. but then it doesn say if 60W is power consumed after the temperature insde the fridge has stabilized or average power. i will assume the 60W claim is for stabilized temperature, which means the average power will be even more. also whirlpool doesnt claim its using inverter based compressors, so this is unclear for someone like me looking to buy one. what we need from people like you is tell people like us (not so tech-ei) about the new techonologies in simple details that talks more about the real life power consumption and energy ratings that the manufacturers will never tell us.
