and what kind of idiot needed snowden to tell them the government violates the rights of the people. i always assumed any digital communications, especially the internet, would be monitored and recorded by governments. so i don't know where this guys hero status comes into play, unless everyone is just stupid. in fact i would say snowden himself is pretty stupid if that's the only info he had to ''leak''.
