Halo 4:Lag Night (Game Night) "Disease" & "Last Stand"
NOTE (PLEASE READ): I have named this video "Lag Night" as a joke due to the excessive amount of lag and black screens we were getting during this game ...
Notice how all the cares I don't give are flying away? Also please read the title, the game was full of lag which is partly why I was failing the jumping.

My friend, Rich, is not getting the care that he should because of Medicare cuts and it is going to get worse. This is a true story. My friend has osteomylitis of the ...
Yes, I know medicaid and medicare because I am licensed as an RN, BSN.
Anyway, he is part C from his dad's medicare. He used to be on medicaid at
20. Yes, the doctors are killing him because they aren't getting paid.
There are so many days that he has used up because doctors screwed up last
8/09. I do have a video for the lawyer that I contacted at that time. He
didn't go in with osteomyelitis and if they would have kept him in back in
8/09 this wouldn't have happened. They blame it on medicare.
@scottspa74 This was so sad and Rich told me this day that I had to be
strong because there was a good chance that he would die. He was anemic and
they weren't giving him blood transfusions. He lost a lot of weight and his
albumin levels were so low because the infection was fighting for his
protein. He had MRSA and Osteomyelitis. I got him down to U. of PA and Dr.
Levin saved his leg and his life. God Bless this Dr. and Richie. Rich is
staying at my house. Unfortunately, his mom died 12/3/10.
there has been talk that the swine flu is at the local universities in
potsdam and canton new york. but i havent read anything yet in news. there
have been cases up here from mexico trips. people keep on talking about it.
its irritating me. this winter might be bad. we will see. i'm already sick.
but its not swine. broncitis - strep throat symdroms that i'm fighting from
smoking. angie said she has been not well too over the past week or two.
main thing is being tired. time to get some brandy
He was actually in a step down unit at this time, however, he hated them
there and the care and just wanted to be released because they weren't
curing him. So, I will update everyone on Rich's condition. He start
bleeding very heavily from his wound site shortly after his discharge. He
was already at a 10 hgb and is Anemic. They still have him at home and he
was cleaning his own wound the other day and a piece of bone came out. This
Friday, 10/9, he has a consult down at University of Penn.
Yea...it's just that the taxes issue is such a big thing for me and I just
think it's terrible how our government continues to want more and more of
our money...for whatever reason, really. They can't even properly manage
what they take now...it's damn unreal. As i've always said to you...I like
Mr. Obama as a person but i'm just tired of this attitude that this
administration has about personal responsibility. I hope things work out 9
obviously ), but I still miss George W. Bush! :)
my mother contracted sepsis in mclaren hospital. it only took 7 days to
kill her. she was admitted with severe arthritic pain friday afternoon. she
was litterally dead by the next friday afternoon. her sepsis was not even
detected until tuesday. another day and a half for doctors to pow wow about
her care and agressave fight of the infection. it was too late. she also
was on medicare. which i am sure the delay way because of her health
insurance. good luck with your friend...
It is sad. I feel doctors are desensitized. They don't look at people as
humans. I worked in the OR the Summer before my Senior year while I was
going to college for a BSN, and two patients were scheduled daily for each
of the 6 OR rooms for a CABG they called it, coronary artery bypass
grafting or bypass surgery. It became like the patients were engines that
were being worked on. They are draped and that's what it seemed like. This
was the money maker of the hospital.
The only reason I said that, is because obama spends OUR tax money on
stupid programs for cash for clunkers instead on healthcare. He promised
better healthcare during the 2008 election. And seeing someone suffer just
because of lack of funds to afford healthcare is just wrong! My grandma
died last week, just because, she couldn't get the proper healthcare she
needed. So my point is that we need to help eachother out, until proper
healthcare is avaliable.
I asked the orthopedic surgeon if he would transfer him to University of
Penn. He said he has a doctor friend there. Penn said it depends on the
transferring doctor and if there is a doctor who would take him. I think
this doctor will agree with the infectious disease dr. They usually stick
together. Rich is so sweet too Moomay. You saw him in the vid, and he
always will smile and be kind to everyone he meets. He doesn't deserve to
be treated like this.
Thanks Slayton. I really try to be a good person and it breaks my heart to
see this happening. I went back to college to become an RN because of Rich.
I always had compassion for every patient that I had and I have to admit
that the nurses do, but they can't help. This is only one person in the
USA. The one nurse told me it will be getting worse. He's not getting
transferred to another hospital either and is going home in the same
condition.
We need to do something about what happened to your Grandmother too! We
can't let them get away with this. This was neglect and fight for her too
even though she isn't with us anymore. I worked as an RN, BSN and this
outrages me beyond belief. I stood up to everyone and I didn't care if it
cost me a job. I refused to work at this one nursing home where they
neglected patients. I left without another job lined up at that point in my
career.
I'm sorry to hear about your grandma. This is so wrong and yes Obama is a
liar. I remember Obama saying at his debates that every USA Citizen will
have the same health care benefits as Congress has. Rich is being
discharged to home by Fri. at the latest. No progress and still has a bone
infection. So, no operation because he still has an infection. It's
basically like they are thinking, "We can't be blamed because he's stable."
I make my living working with Medicare and I can tell you that people under
65 only get Medicare if they are getting Social ecurity Disability.
Medicaid is insurance provided by state governments (with help from
Washington) for people who make less than $900 per month. Medicaid is not
as good as Medicare. But again, it's not the insurance that is killing your
friend, it sounds like the doctors.
Yes, I agree that healthcare is a human right. It would make a different
right now in the USA if Rich had lots of money. They aren't going to
transfer him to another hospital either. They are sending him home by
Friday at the latest with this bone infection and he still needs surgery. I
know they always bring Canada into it, but this is reality in the USA but
they don't want to acknowledge it.
Wow...hate to say it but I doubt your friend is alone. Unfortunately, i'm
sure many are like him and even worse than that even more may be on the
way. This administration is something else...these people seem clueless and
although I like our current president as a person I have very little
confidence in these guys. Somewhere i'm sure sits the idea of a tax
increase...hide the damn money! :)
Are elderly and sick united states citizens are not going to get the help
thay need sorry to say but we can show are "President" what it means to be
a American! I got $50.00 dollers i can send to help this guy out and anyone
who need it. If we want a change in the US we need to take the first step.
I DARE YOU ALL TO DO THE SAME. Thanks for this video Cindy you got a good
heart.
and i will be burying them at my job! the next flu epidemic might be coming
soon who know! my boss talked about it yesterday. i said its just the
government scaring us. he said i was wrong. we might have a busy spring and
winter....i willsurvive if it occurs..i'm needed here! will be making a vid
about it hopefully in the next week or two like cindy did a few months ago.
@KingKris1979 I'm sorry to hear this. My friend is fine now since he had an
operation with Dr. Levin @ the University of Pennsylvania Hospital,
Philadelphia, PA. 215-662-3350. There has to be phone numbers listed if you
have any complaints on top of the pay phone. Ask the charge nurse or
Director of Nursing and also tell them your complaints. I hope this helps.
On a slightly off topic, as much as I disagree with Michael Moore on a lot
of things, this is not one of them. The one thing that angers me the most
about healthcare debate is that somehow ours gets dragged into it, and
propaganda and lies get spouted. IMO, healthcare is a human right and
everyone should have access to it, not just people with lots of money.
Thank you! I won't stop and I just put a call into a lawyer who my dad knew
very well. As of now, there is still not a consult for this other
specialist which is 1 1/2 hrs. away and I'll drive him with all of his
drainage tubes hanging out. I told Rich I am getting ready to yell at the
Case Manager. I will lay into her and threaten with a lawsuit.
Your friend/relative seems young to be on Medicare. If he has no money and
is under 65 he is probably on "Medicaid". This is insurance for people with
no money. Medicare is for people over 65 or who are getting social security
disability payments. Whether he is on Medicaid or Medicare, this is not the
problem. The doctors are the problem.
i wont be getting one of those flu shots....i have noticed in the past when
i get one i get sick still..and when i dont get one i dont have the flu all
winter..hmm?? of coarse were told medcially that the shot turns on whatever
to fight it away later..?? would never get any shots if i was in a military
family.
You're so sweet! Thank you and I'll let Rich know. He's so nice and I'm so
exhausted from fighting. He's not going to be transferred to U. of Penn
either. I just visited today and Friday at the latest he is being
discharged to home. Discharged to die is what they should say.
mia0899cs... "Discharged to die..." Yea...I didn't want to quite put it
that way about your friend but i share your opinion. Your friend is lucky
though,...he has a good buddy like you that cares for him and hopefully
that can at least make him feel a little bit better.
Yes, there has to be a tax increase or more cuts in Medicare which is what
Obama did in Jan. Rich still doesn't blame Obama but he blames the drug
companies. You're right that this is only one person in thousands at least.
Thank you! Rich is such a nice guy too. I am so upset and drained. I have
to stay strong and keep fighting for his care. We need a health care system
like you have. Rich has told me about it and how great it is in Europe.
Do whatever you can Tom! I'll back up anything. I just put a call into my
dad's attorney/friend. Rich is getting the run around. He called me this
morning and said he still doesn't have a consult with this specialist.
@danfourdeals My condolences go out to you and your family. This is so sad
and shouldn't have happened. Rich still didn't get the operation he needs.
Every hospital gives him the run around.
It wouldn't happen here in Canada, either. Even Bill Clinton has praised
out healthcare and I take solace in the fact I will--nor will anyone that I
love--ever have to endure such BS.
