Everyone attributes Yamamoto with that quote. I've read WWII books, and there are a plethora of online sites which say there is no evidence to substantiate the claim. There is no audio, writing, nothing. Even Fact Check says it's bogus. As far as god helping you, I wouldn't put too much stock in that. You either help yourself or you don't. 1998? I live in 2012 not that 1998 was much worse. Those were 833 REPORTED deaths. BTW 833 died needlessly by the hands of a nutter doesn't do your argument much good. Clearly your biased opinion is more reliable than government statistics, as for your argument about 'needlessly' dying, that argument is chicken crap, I just told you that there are about 1.9 million self defense cases involving guns a year in the U.S., that's not "needless" and I don't see how being scared of something just because I don't understand it is labeled as 'growing a pair of brain cells.'

If it's that bad, reloading just might be the way to go. Last year around this time and in December. Cabelas was having what I thought were decent deals on ammo. They're expensive anyway because it's cabelas, but when they have free shipping deals, couldn't pass it up. Plus the ammo I was looking for was hard to find or on back order while cabelas had what I needed and free shipping specials.

im stocking up on reloading stuff including bullet molds and thinking it might be a good idea to pick up a few extra muzzle loaders to have just in case primers are easy to stock up on and with a bullet mold you can make your own bullets and black powder if you had to and the best thing is our local walmart doesent even check your id when you buy them +

Lead went up 7% this year because of China demand for batteries. China demand is projected @ 15% increase per annum thru 2015. Lead demand will be higher than production in 2013 also. Demand is also up for ammo because of Obama presidency, I agree, but wait a month and demand should slow down and prices stabilize somewhat.

In the long run yes. But his political machine can easily pull some strings to get the prices lowered temporarily for the election. In fact that would be a very effective manoeuver to win votes. Think about the possibility of calling in a favor with the Saudi govt, or oil execs to briefly disregard the laws of supply and demand for new drilling contracts and open fields. It is sad to think that our government is really that fucking corrupt, but this election was war and thus all is fair. :(

We got gas yesterday in Moorhead at $3.24. Will have to see what happens now. I don't think Obama has much control over gas prices except if he allows govt stockpiles of gas to fill shortages like what happened in Superstorm Sandy.
