Recorded near my house in Los Angeles, Southern California with Solar eclipse glasses. Here's a video showing the partial solar eclipse happening over Los ...
To clarify, that's a Total Solar Eclipse that will only be seen in totality from the pacific northwest, through the Midwest and through to the southern east coast! I would recommend AGAINST staying in Los Angeles to see this eclipse, as Totality is never reached in L.A.!2017 USA!

the chance to do so for years and i don't have the money to travel, since
its gonna be visible i just want to know if you can see it in FL and how
can you safely see it thanks
Unfortunately no, but visit us at SPACEdotcom for a webcast of the event,
and we should be posting video tonight and in the morning of the eclipse
on SPACEdotcom and this youtube channel. Today's annular solar eclipse
begins in southern China (where the local time is May 21) at about 6:06
p.m. EDT (2206 GMT)
this happened on my daughter's birthday. it was magical. & i defied you
all! i looked at it through sunglasses, went to my eye doctor, & he said
that i had very healthy eyes, so i dunno why people trip out about looking
at it.
Is amazing how we can see this through the web, although, it will never be
the same as seeing it right before your eyes. -sighs- It sucks to live in
Puerto Rico today :(
i was looking forward to seeing it for the 1st time in my life, but then i
got distracted w/ other things happening during the day and i ended up
MISSING IT!!! :(
never look at it directly because the sun is so very bright that it can
scortch ur eyes without knowing it, bcause the retina does not have pain
receptors.
I guess it's because you /could/ damage your eyes if you look at it :o
(Note: I used could, not would ;D)
Solar Eclipse May 20 2012 - Annular "Ring Of Fire" Eclipse
Annular Solar Eclipse ("Ring Of Fire") on May 20, 2012. As seen from the Northwestern United States. Extra footage of the "Super Moon" of a couple of weeks ...
I know EXACTLY what you mean my friend. Events like this are truly amazing,
yet to be completely honest; a couple of weeks ago I was just as intrigued
and captivated by the woods after a Spring thunderstorm. The smell of the
woods... the raindrops glistening on the pine needles... the "little"
stuff. Life's sure good sometimes, eh? :-)
Cool dude, thanks for sharing. Over here in CA when I was getting back from
my backpacking trip to Mt Pinos they had many astronomers setting up camp
in the parking lot for it. We did not stay, but I guess that spot is one of
the best places where astronomers meet up to look at the stars and events
like this. Take care
xsniff sniffx :( this would of been the BEST birthday present from the moon
and sun IF I could of seen it from where I am but because of you I get to
see it in video :) but this is a very nice video of it I just hope October
23, 2014 I will be able to see it just a half and hour from home :D
Thanks Brother. Yeah, there were certainly ALOT of people anticipating this
eclipse! We weren't in the optimal place for viewing the full "effect" of
the eclipse, but it was still pretty awesome! Hope you had a great time on
your trip... can't wait to see some footage :-)
Wow Brother! You captured that perfectly! Very well done! I was backpacking
deep in a canyon during the eclipse and the sun went down before the
eclipse started + a mega fire close by so I never had a chance. The
Super.Moon footage was excellent too! 2 Thumbs Up!
Thank you Don. I'm sorry to hear that you missed it over your way... it was
pretty cool (had never seen one before). Thought we were going to miss out
on it due to some intermittent cloud cover that rolled through all
afternoon... got lucky though :-)
and now amigo we are getting the earthqakes....there is a swarm happening
off the coast of norway (25th may) and also in the english channel ..which
they are trying to tell us is a possible world war two bomb......!!! what a
load of BS
Yeah, I was surprised that it showed up on camera as well as it did... I
wasn't using any kind of filter or anything, and couldn't really tell until
I got the footage home on the PC and looked at it.
Thanks Camp! I had that little clip of the "Super Moon" that I had taken a
couple of weeks ago... wasn't sure what to do with it until this came up
:-) All the best to you and yours buddy!
I used a JVC Everio... just turned off the auto focus and shot without a
filter or anything (hopefully I didn't ruin my cam's sensor, lol). Thanks
for watching and commenting :-)
Aww man, that's some bad timing :-( Sounds like you just missed it! I've
seen a couple videos where they were able to capture it right at sunset and
it was awesome looking!
beautiful, we hiked up to some rocky cliffs and watched it through the
campfire smoke...pretty cool. I took some phone pictures, but they did not
turn out very well.
Yeah, we were on the northernmost edge of it, so we didn't get the full
effect of the "Ring Of Fire" aspect, but it was still pretty cool to see
nonetheless!
May 20-21, 2012 Annular Solar Eclipse Ohio, USA
A series of images of the May eclipse as viewed from Ohio, USA. Ohio experienced only a partial eclipse at sunset.
Reporting from Eclipse-edge, Miami Co Ohio! We (7) of us gathered on a
sunny hillside with spacious views to south and west. Observed sunspots on
bright disc of Sun in a bright promising sky. Witnessed clear 1st contact
and solid 5 minutes, before loosing the clear view first to thin wispy
clouds, then finally darker clouds. Enjoyed this video. Thought of going to
Albuquerque to see annularity, but glad I got to witness this where I live.
It's unfortunate that you guys out east were limited on what you could see,
but I'm glad you were able to get some enjoyment out of this event. No
worries, the June 5th Venus transit is coming up fast, and that should be a
great event viewable from the entire country. And though it might be a
little bit down the road, 2017 will be the year for the next total eclipse
viewable from the US! Clear skies!
