You're retarded if you think that David Beckham, the most well known
footballer in the world, is donating his salary for publicity.. He doesn't
need attention, he's fucking David Beckham! He's announcing it because he's
passionate about it genius, and don't say that he's not genuine because he
reveals it to the public. He is literally one of the most generous athletes
in the world when it comes to charity. He does it because he cares, hence

In case you guys didn't notice, since the first press conference until
today, the said charity has remain anonymous! Even when Beckham was being
interviewed after the match, he didn't even mention the name of the
charity, nor the amount of his salary, because like he said, both are
private! Bet if the name of the charity is revealed, the French Gov will
take the money from the charity, just like they're trying to do right now!
Why upset? Guess you lot here are working with French Gov, then?

shameless, orchestrated plan to buy a knighthood by an immoral, shallow

So, let's see if I get this right. This guy makes 175 million dollars

Oh get real. Beckham has no morals, he's been promoting factory slave work
for over a decade, with a wife who cares so little about the downtrodden
she actually calls herself Posh. 80% of the wages at PSG would go to tax,
and Becks isn't giving up on any of the brand income he'll be making off
his return to the european and french market and fashion. He has 200
million dollars and you're praising him for giving up what's like a mere
200.000 dollars.

Very disappointing to read that people are hating on beckham for this. It's
true that this charity thing will make 'the brand beckham' even stronger
throughout the world and it will bring more profit to his name. However the
man knows that he has enough earnings from sponsordeals etc.. He knows that
he can miss this money and gives it all to charity, name me one athlete who

what does it matter? Beckham makes a monthly $540.000 in America, he won't
come here for free surely. Even if PSG pays him less, say 400k a month,
that is going to charity over his 5 months contract, which means he has
then donated 2 MILLION euro. How much have you done? Standing ovation for

Wait, he's only signed a five month deal to play for PSG to go to that
French charity instead of and 18 month one, which was the original deal,
what does that tell you???,..... that he's a money grabbing c**t, despite

makes it? how many other high end athletes are giving away 5 months of
salary to charity? Thiery Henry is making more than Beckham was in Galaxy,
with 7.5 million a year, and i don't see him donating half a year worth of

I believe if you want to help charity you should do it confidentially, Him
saying it to the press takes away from the fact that actually its great
help however he's doing it for publicity.. Many artists and footballers
give to charity but at least they don't give it for publicity, They do it
cause they are genuine.

Charity should remain anonymous, otherwise it can become an image enhancer.
