In this video, I build a 2014 workstation PC from parts purchased from Newegg.com. Unfortunately, the DIY kit had some gaping holes in compatibility. Total cost ...
Dude, in every single one of your videos, you take the motherboard out and
place it on top of the anti-static bag. ESD bags work by collecting
electro-static charges, and keeping them contained on the outside of the
bag. When you place the mobo on top of that, you are essentially placing it
in the worst place possible, and effectively introducing it into an
environment loaded with ESD..
+Someone7089 Depends on circumstances and what motherboard your dealing with.. I know that most of the precautions people take with ESD are overkill, but better safe than sorry. I just know that the outside of an ESD bag is the most charged portion of said bag.
+Mario Saltalamacchia Is it possible for that ESD to discharge through one section of the bag to another through the motherboard? Or would the ESD transfer to the motherboard until the motherboard touches a grounded exit?
I Just bought a LOGISYS 480W DUAL FAN 20+4 PIN POWER SUPPLY for around
$13.00 on amazon, along with a few blu rays. Most reviews were good though.
Has around 4 sata power connectors, but they were tight and I was afraid it
would break the SSD thin plastic contact. Are there 90 degree adapters?
barely used this computer and the power supply apparently just went bad after changing out to a different monitor. Not sure yet, but it's my first thought.
+aleon1018 yes there are right angle adapters...//salestores.com/byteccsata90.html#.VXTNjM9VhHw, if i were you i wouldnt buy from there, i was just showing you they exist, just gotta google 90 degree sata adapters :D
I've found that my A10-5800K Trinity doesn't work well with HWMonitor.
Shows temperatures way too high. Your Richland appears to have the same
incompatibility with it. Anybody have suggestions for alternative hardware
monitoring software?
Hey guys I have a few questions about my computer and such I have a amd
athlon cpu clocked at 3.00 GHz but want a CPU cooler to clock it higher I
was wondering if u had a few laying around and a better graphics card mines
a geforce gt 630 that I want a better high end card if u could contact me
at [email protected] I've bin watching ur bids for awhile now its pretty
cool what u guys got goin on and I need help pointer anything can help
thanks
I have a couple CPU coolers, but they're for LGA775, which is an Intel socket. And no, I don't have any GPUs better than a GT 630 lying around, but I wish I did.
The game becomes unplayable when there are over 40 units in the game. I made the mistake of not auto-resolving when I could just as easily beat them. Also ...
+Patrick Cieluck Sure thing. I will upload footage with the Core 2 Duo as soon as I can. My hardware is fine. As you can see here, it only falls flat on its face in situations like this on newer games and when playing older games. Yes, my CPU is an APU, but it is still a very capable CPU that can handle newer games like butter, but only those that use multiple cores. Also keep in mind that your FX is "high" end, so you won't run into these performance issues as soon as I do.
+RGInquisitor care to back that claim up with real data? plus this claim that this is how "Total War ROME 2 [performs] on a AMD CPU" is like my saying "Hitman has input lag when playing on an Nvidia GPU." do I have input lag when i play that game? yes... my hardware is 5 years old... of course it does! it's a miracle i have a playable frame-rate. But it's a claim that doesn't give enough additional information, over-generalizes, and isn't reproducible. and if your Core 2 Duo from 2007 is performing better than you're A10 let's consider two possibilities. One it's an APU. it's "small-form-factor hardward" What exactly are you expecting from it? fact is many brand new laptops will have poor performance next to my 5 year old desktop, custom build for gaming performance and NOTHING ELSE. Two, you're two year old hardware isn't performing as well as 9 year old hardware... This could suggest you've got something wrong with your computer preventing it from running PROPERLY!
+Patrick CieluckI just made this video as an example. The 8xxx series are the best AMD has so far, and my A10 would be between the low-medium range these days. I just hate that the performance is so poor and a Core 2 Duo from 2007 runs this game and countless other better.
+RGInquisitor but it is misinformation. I have an AMD CPU and run this game better than you. The "hypothesis" that this is because of your CPU brand isn't reproducible, as of this point, by one factor.
+Patrick Cieluck Also, I have a pretty capable system. I built the Pc based on the APU 2 years ago and I upgraded on November last year. I'll be sure to include my specs on the description. I know for a fact that my R9 380 is not the problem and that my cpu is very well cooled (55c under load).
+Patrick Cieluck It is clearly not misinformation. It is very important that people know about stuff like this. I'm really hoping zen improves upon this because single core performance is atrocious. Otherwise I'm upgrading to Intel.
+Patrick Cieluck and to be clear, the only reason i'm bothering to comment on this video where 2 out of the 4 views are mine, is that anybody who's seriously interested in what's happening with AMD Polaris, Zen, and nVidia Pascal likely to search AMD by most recent and discover this tidbit of misinformation
+RGInquisitor lucky me, perhaps. but saying this is a representation on an AMD CPU is a very false over-generalization. We don't know any details of the rest of your machine. The A10 would be a really cheap CPU if it was a CPU alone, but with graphics built in, you're talking about maybe a $60 CPU and a $30 graphics cards with some meat in the middle to bring you to the total cost. So obviously you're experience will match people running 8-core FX processor, right? And this OC claim. you're using small-form-factor hardware, and expect us to believe you've got this sufficiently powered and cooled (again, no additional info to your system). for all we know, you're APU getting thermal throttled or not even running stable.
@tonino39 I dont know about your specs or laptop, but i'm assuming that
there is an option on your pc where you can control how much power or
battery it uses (i.e. Energy Star, balanced, and performance being best).
Either that or you can change your graphics card performance like the
Catalyst Control Center for ATI for either quality or performance.
@acery2005 Yeah don't worry, it's just Windows Movie Maker being all
amateur.. Dead Space 2 run really smooth at highest settings on my laptop
with no problems at all. If you were wondering about the story you could
probably PM me since it's a fairly long one.
it looks good, but have to admit it did look really choppy/jumpy hoping
that is just windows movie maker. just rdered this laptop myself. and whats
the game like?
+Bluedot GG I am using Sapphire AMD Radeon HD 7850. Here is a quick look if you want https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SkbnqCagFkSorry bro, i couldn't see your comment earlier, it was probably pending. Stupid Youtube.
