Bride Pre-Planned Wedding 10 Years in Advance

little boys dream of being astronauts, firemen, racing car drivers. Little
girls dream of being princesses for the day and being taken care of
forever. Boys never even think of being married. the day he says 'i do' all
of her dreams come true, all of his end. then, when she calls for a
divorce, he gets to spend the rest of his life paying her vaginamony, has
his wages garnished for the children he has to fight to see and a never
ending nightmare of having to live by her rules and her interferance in
every subsequent relationship he has..
fuck marriage.
I see nothing wrong with calling your wedding day "The happiest day of your
life" You're marrying the man/woman you love. My husband and I spent less
than $2,000 on our wedding. We wanted a small wedding with just our family
and close friends. A wedding isn't just about the bride. Its about the
groom too. My husband and I planned our wedding together. I asked him what
he wanted and he asked me what I wanted :) That's how it should be. I hate
it when some woman think that its all about her.
What if you don't sleep around. But you don't value the idea of marriage
would that make you a whore? And since when do we give a fuck what people
do with their personal lives? And besides more and more people are getting
divorced as time goes by more and more people are starting to realize that
marriage is pointless and it looses steam in a few years. Girls who do not
want a wedding are whores hmm then i guess that makes the ones who want a
wedding gold diggers. They only want the glitz.
I don't believe Cenk was fair to Ana saying that she's just like every
other woman planning her wedding. There's a big difference between having a
general idea of what you'd like to actually planning it out. I would like
to elope and go on a backpacking trip with my husband, it's just what I
like doing (travel) and therefore it seems like it'd be a nice memorable
thing to do. Big difference between that and planning a huge ceremony with
bridesmaids and dresses and cakes.
When my husband and I got married, we spent only a few weeks planning, and
spent a grand total of $300. It was a small gathering of friends and
family, and our only decorations were about $10 worth of stuff from the
dollar store. The rest of the money was spent on food and alcohol. The
setting was outdoors, on my brother-in-law's property. I even made my own
dress for the ceremony, using a collage of other parts of outfits sewn
together into a cute faerie goth outfit.
Here a plan for you guys to avoid a good deal of marital bullshit. When you
talk about marriage, let her or him know that you want to go to the
"Justice of the Peace". Explain that it's simple and not so full of
expensive crap and headache planning. If you get rejected, then you KNOW
your love is NOT into you, but into the wedding. Get out while you can. "It
ain't gon' get no bett'a." I AM NOT SAYING I'M A GURU OF THIS. I"m just
throwing it out there as a possibility.
Never planned my wedding, maybe had fantasies when I was young but that is
it. My husband and I were engaged for almost a year, never even talked
about any details, until one day we decided to go down to the courthouse
and make it official. My future in-laws talked us out of it and they
planned a small celebration, we did it more for their benefit than our's.
I am a women and I do not care to have some big wedding, then get poor
after feeding people. Nope not me! My wedding will be in the islands where
I will have my honey moon at the same time. If anyone cannot come, not my
lost:) I think it is a waste of money to spend so much on a wedding, that
money could be used as a down payment on a house or condo.
DUDE! I WOULD TOTALLY NOT BE FREAKED OUT IF MY FIANCE PLANNED THE WEDDING
AHEAD OF TIME. Know why? Saves me the headache of having to participate and
then her getting mad if she doesn't get what she wants. Just let me pick
out what I want to wear and don't let it be too expensive and I'm good to
go.
To be honest, I don't believe any single person should be made a fuss over,
but IF you're going to do it, cater to him, a little, as well. Treat him to
a mani and pedi or a full body massage. Just don't ignore him and then
after months of planning, throw him in a tux and say "Good luck!".
Well I am young so I don't think about it much. But I see a wedding as a
party and a way for a lot of people to show how expensive the party is if
anything is fancy it might be the reception but that's because I want to
have fun and for everyone else to have a lot of fun, it's a party.
gaah i hate pretentious events and people. i told my fiancé to not spend a
dime on stupid weddings or honeymoons, instead that money will be put to
better use to pay off his student loans. So we're just gonna go to the
courthouse to get those darn papers signed :)
Yeah..true. But if a man doesn't want to be married he will always find a
''reason'' not to. I don't plane my wedding, but if my ''future husband''
gets scared and don't want to married me, because I planed my wedding day,
then he wasn't the right one anyway.
Seriously, some of Cenk's finest analysis EVAR!! Spot on on so many counts!
Women, we love them but when it comes to wedding planning they are lucky
that the day even happens at all by the time they are done trying to ruin
everything with stress and details.
@itsJaeger of COURSE it's normal for a girl to dream about her wedding, but
seriously. You plan out every single solitary detail 10 years in advance
and you make sure they happen when the time comes. Don't you find that the
least bit absurd?
