I am constantly in a panic every time I watch the news and or the weather channel. I am so upset with the whole thing it makes me sick to my stomach. I have actually convinced my 15 year old to sit and watch all these different videos and different shows on t.v. with me. It has actually increased her grades immensely at school in history and science. She has impressed a lot of people with her knowledge she attains at home. Whenever we watch the shows Ancient Aliens or Strangest Weather on Earth we will both be on the edge of our seats the entire time. We get so excited about our daily or weekly shows that we plan Mother Daughter date nights just for us. We will even go as far as postpone other plans for the sole purpose of these date nights with the History Channel or Weather Channel. I know it probably sounds strange but it has actually brought us closer together over the last 2 years. In a time of usual childhood rebellion she has gone the opposite route as her friends and stayed true and clean and focused on her future instead of partying, smoking pot, doing other drugs or drinking to fit in with her friends. Nope not my kid! Thank goodness for that. But in return I think also I have created a potential monster in the way of she is now obsessed with the idea she might see the end of the world due to her generation destroying the world. I almost wonder if she would have been better off with the majority of her generation being dumb and naive to the situation of the health and well being of our beautiful and challenged civilization of all living beings whether on land or in water. We are all so vulnerable and yet there seems to be nothing we can do about it soon enough to make any kind of impact or even so much as a difference in time.
