Could you rewire it with some 2.5mm2? Although 10A 2.3KW is pretty good for electronics, unless you're getting into some pretty beefy power electronics, but that's more of a garage thing though really! Nice setup I have to admit, although I could see you needing to extend that desk pretty soon! xP

That powerboats is huge! Judging by the colour, it looks like a Jackson brand. If so, it's a great quality unit. Just be careful with running high powered & high frequency currents from this board - I have blown 3 Jackson power boards this way. Nice test area :)

Nice 20 Way PDU Alex993cc1, I was counting them as you went along as I imagine everyone else doing. x] I have a 12 way UK Power Distribution Unit, good for 13A @ 230V = 3KW. I'm going to need to upgrade soon as my electronics bench has nearly filled it now...

Heh, that little one is a great bit of kit but I don't think it would be up to much more than bench work. With a bigger one you can have some fun, the sort of fun that involves stuff being fed far too many volts and current than it was designed for! :)

Ha ha yoooou daft sod :-). thats longer than any ive ever seen being sold :-) Well most of the time its low power items just hogging the power sockets, so i dont think the rating matters too much. Very handy :-)

got a small variac, dont wanna get a bigger one? you might think im compensating for something else aswell! hahahah mmmm switchable ballasts... i got some ideas now ;-)

Awesome length! I love how it's very compact, but being long. Be aware about overloading it though :)

Love it, that is a very nice power strip. You can never have enough sockets in an electronics test lab.

I know it's been 11 months since this video...but i got a new a atsf version...thing is awesome...also have the ac6000 you got...number 6076...they are by far thee best rtr with sound and dcc function locos money can buy in my opinion...I'm tired of everyone being stuck on athearn and tsunami as if there's nothing else...got a es44ac paragon 3 with rolling thunder (Norfolk southern) on order for March of 2016...can't wait...

absolutely...been focusing on track planning a lot...have come up with 4-5 ideas so far on anyrail just not sure how if they'll actually operate...lol...never done this before...just designing, researching, collecting & a ton of rail fanning which i plan to post...so far...can't wait to start construction...

+nick grandy so true! BLI has come a long way and their sound is fantastic! Can't wait for paragon 3. And slow speed performance is great which is what I'm most focused on. When you get the es44ac you'll have to post a video so we can all see how awesome it is!CheersLuke

Looks like it's cogging a bit to me in slow speeds, unless it's the video doing it. And those handrails are scary thick! About 2" round steel! ha ha Other than that, looks pretty good.

I never really noticed the handrails until you pointed it out, lol, now I cant stop looking at them! The white makes them stand out quite dramatically, I think with a little weathering they will blend in a lot better and not look so outstanding. I watched the video again via YouTube and compared it to the video on my hard drive, it does appear to cog at low speeds on the video using YouTube, but when I watch it on the original video its quite smooth. Thanks for commenting :)
