I notice that before MATTEL used to make larger amounts of these cars like
10,000 and whatnot that roadrunner is still on hwc haha I'm considering on
purchasing the hiway haulers on their for my set i will see how the next
few months go on and then I'll decide
Ya I hope if doesn't lol I'll see how I'll get that one but its gulf and lots of collectors have liked those. I appreciate you responding to the comments even at this time frame I hope I have not kept you from sleeping lol
+BZBEAST12 Certain castings will definitely sell out or be worthwhile to purchase as soon as they are offered. VW Bus and Blown Delivery are two that come to mind. The '67 Camaro is still popular but I'm not sure if it is still popular enough to sell out on day one.
Oh Ya your right honestly I would think that the hiway hauler that has been out since 2008 would sell out. Even the cyber Monday thing didn't really sell out anything I notice things like the gulf drag bus sell out in one hour perhaps if they put out these sales on weekends when guys aren't working oh well. The gulf camaro that will come out soon is really nice but I think I'll take your word and wait it out :-)
+BZBEAST12 The collectibles market is not in good shape. Mattel can't even sell out their 4,000 piece online releases.

Y138 HWC Moves Out Of Emergency Vehicle's Way And Almost Causes An Accident
Not sure if it was a police car or a paramedic, I think it was a police car but when I heard the siren I had a feeling something like this was about to happen. Shame ...
@seanusmcprawnus Difficult decision for the emergency driver I'd say, to
take the bus lane. I wasn't the only cyclist using it at the time, having
just overtaken 3 or 4 slower riders. I think they were right to use the RH
lane but it is still the responsibility of those that have to move over to
do so with due regard for other road users. It's not a case of move over at
all costs as that can lead to another emergency.
@policeblue999 Aha! Thank you for this information! So they would have been
most displeased to have had to stop and deal with any injuries to me caused
by an errant driver smashing me off the road in their haste to get out of
the ambulance's way I'd guess! (It would have been lucky for me though as
the hospital was only one block behind us at that point. A real shame for
the intended patient however...)
@pumpkinzer0 Yes but anticipated though... After all, I could hear the
approaching siren and was aware of traffic around me. It didn't take much
to guess what might happen next and besides, it's not as if this is the
first time a driver avoiding an emergency vehicle has failed to take my
position into account...
@DamoDoublemint Sure they are, they have been trained to cope with traffic
calmly, even though they may be travelling to an emergency. Just as all
drivers are trained to move out of the way safely. It's sad that in the
heat of the moment, folks forget the 'safely' part of the moving out of the
way...
@MelloVEL0 Panic is not the correct response. I know what you mean though.
I had a 6th sense something like that was about to happen when I heard the
siren, you know what I mean? After all, this is not the first time a driver
has done this to me in similar circumstances.
@TheVexatiousLitigant Selling the car might be a bit extreme, just driving
it sensibly works for me. People do tend to overreact when an emergency
vehicle 'creeps' up behind them. You know how sneaky they can be with their
sirens and flashing lights and all that...
Emergency vehicles themselves are generally safe, they expect traffic, and
don't want anyone putting someone in danger to let them past (they are
obliged to stop if an accident happens). Drivers really need to check
before moving over on autopilot.
If you forget the rules when there is an emergency vehicle behind you, you
should just stay off the road, so often people just panic, as you say,
"Panic is not the correct response" but maybe selling you car is!
Its a paramedic. It is one of the Skoda Octavia RRVs used by Hems. Its role
during night hours is to replace the helicopter which cannot fly during
night hours.
