@chrisdofer320 I DO watch night in & night out.. Fredette is always on a
short leash while Isaiah who I like, is allowed to make mistakes.Jimmer was
on FIRE last night and 'smart' sat him down AGAIN. This is as bad as what
he did to another Great player all last year in Gldn State. Had a kid who,
was the best player on the team, buried at the tail end of the bench..ALL
YEAR Dont tell me Jeremy Lin all of a sudden became a fantastic point guard
in the off season-"smart' is a HATER EXTRAORDINAIRE .
It's called "RACISM"... It was actually pretty startling how many players
said bad things about Lin when he started doing well and got attention.
Which as the first Asian American to do anything significant in the NBA he
should have gotten. Kind of like all the African Americans that do anything
for the first time... I mean good Lord.. how many people are sick of
hearing about that ? I know I am ... Oh look it's the first African
American coach to win the Super Bowl. ETC ETC... double standard.
@chrisdofer320 WRONG. Coach "smart" hates Fredette. He has been jerking
Fredette arouns ALL year. Whenever Fredtte gets hoe 'smart' sits him.. Lat
night agaisnt the clipper 11 pts 3 assists 2 rebound in 12 min..Its a
freakin disgrace. This kid is the best all around player on this
team..Make's Everybody on the floor better, throws nash-like passes on a
consistent basis and can score like nobody on the planet. His defense aint
great but average better than a Lot of other players on the Kings..
In the highlights Fredette shots are always when he takes a shot without
passing, never after a pass, when he passes is almost never comes back to
him. Someone commented his teammates freeze him out, no that's assuming
they look for him rest of the time, I don't think they ever do. I wonder if
he were black with same skillset Smart would be running some plays to get
him some open shots. Not saying he should start but his minutes are
dwindling and he's done enough to deserve 15 mins.per game
@YelIowMamba -- A silly comment, for sure. It's WAY too early to tell
whether Jimmer will be an elite player or not. He's gone from being the
WHOLE offense for a team, creating his own shot a whopping 75% of the time,
while being double or triple teamed -- to running things, distributing the
ball, and shooting when he's open. He'll develop into an fine point guard,
and you sure can't deny the guy's range -- WOW! His numbers will go up as
he adapts and gets more playing time. Elite? Maybe.
@mgrealdeals i agree with you, but for one thing, some coaches tends to
give less minutes to new guys(that have talent) and slowly increase their
time play. why? so the player will actually see the improvement on himself,
will slowly get better. what if they make him play 48 minutes his first NBA
game and had 2 pts, 1 rbd, 1 assist, 24 turnovers? he will just feel down
and wont even try anymore. but give him a few years, he'll be one of the
top players of his era.
Smart did the same thing to Jeremy Lin last year, I watched a live game
where Lin sparked a run and he was immediately sat down (for no reason, his
defense was fine, didn't turn the ball over). Smart is an idiot. Jimmer is
a very good player, if he can get traded to a team that knows how to use
him then he'll be great, if he gets stuck with smart with 2 or more years
he'll be no more than a 15-20 minute bench player. NBA politics they're
fantastic!
@CouchMonst3r I disagree, Jimmer could put up alot more numbers that
Thomas, I like Thomas thou, and he should be point guard. I'd like to see
Jimmer be atleast the 6th man or the SF, just to be a catch and shoot guy
if left open. The Kings aren't using Jimmer to full potential. Getting less
than 10 minutes a game is atrocious. You don't think Jimmer can shoot?
Pass? Play defense? As of what I seen he is doing fine for the minutes he
has played.
@Blaiyan Evans at PG, Jimmer at SG would be much better. Jimmer can
actually shoot, are you telling me it's a good idea to have Jimmer handle
the ball and Evans, who can't shoot, play off ball? It's simple basketball,
it will not work that way. The way it's going right now Jimmer has no fit
in SAC. They already have a PG and back-up in Evans and Thomas. SG/SF combo
with Salmons and Thornton. He can't start on this team.
@officialyungace A rookie is struggling in the first half of a shortened
rookie season? What a shocker. He was drafted to be an off the bench
scorer. He has proved that he can do that, he just needs to get more
comfortable and consistent, something that most rookies take a little while
to do. Plus, he didn't have a normal training camp because of the lockout.
You might want to brush up only your basketball, dumbass.
@CouchMonst3r How can you say he is bad when he barley gets enough minutes?
Anyone that watches the games would know he isn't being used as much as he
should. He's on the wrong team right now, and I see alot of improvement
from the first game he has played in the NBA. He is more confident and
patient now then I have ever seen him. It's a learning experience for him
and i'm sure he will improve to be a sure starter.
@chrisdofer320 I don't think he should be starting, or even getting many
minutes on the Kings. But I think the Kings are retarded for drafting him
when they were gonna take Isaiah Thomas, who I could have told you is going
to be a better immediate pointguard. Jimmer doesn't fit in the system he's
in, and just isn't a match for the team he plays for. I think it was a
stupid draft pick by the kings.
@mgrealdeals -- I agree, he's definitely improving. He's an excellent
passer who didn't have to pass much in college. His assists will go up as
his minutes do. He's holding his own defensively, and, as everyone knows --
his shooting range is unreal. His opponents are also learning that he can
score around the hoop when guarded. I think he'll develop (quickly) into a
force to be reckoned with.
Jimmer is a really good player playing on the WRONG TEAM. Black coach, only
white guy on team, with several other guards like Evans and Thomas ahead of
him. Teams in need of point guards like the Lakers or Jazz, or coaches like
D'antoni, Adelman, Gentry would give Jimmer lots of playing opportunities.
Jeremy Lin and Ricky are in fact lucky to play for coaches like D'antoni
and Adelman.
None of you guys are Kings fans, watching games night in and night out, You
guys need to shut up. The way Jimmer is playing this season should not be
rewarded with a starting spot. Don't get me wrong, I can't wait until he
gets the confidence in his game and is raining down shots, but you guys
need to watch games before you make suggestions on how to run the team or
something.
@chrisdofer320 im not a kings fan but im a jimmer fan and i agree with you.
hes not playing to hot, but he has potential, this game is obvious proof.
but yea tyreke and marcus thorton should start at guard, and isaiah thomas
is really outplaying jimmer right now. im a bucks fan, so i do think jimmer
is better than salmons. not a big fan of salmons tho haha
needs to shoot the ball with confidence and in rhythm and he cant do that
with limited minutes on a team full of ball hogs. Jimmer's problem isnt the
coach, it's that Sac-town is full of ball dominant goons who will jack from
every position. and if Jimmer says anything about it, they'll slap the shit
outta him.. Sacramento is no place for a rookie.
If he continues to develop he could turn into Mark Price II. Like Price,
though, he'll struggle on the defensive end, especially against the quicker
PGs in the league night after night. He'll have trouble getting minutes in
the NBA, though. White guys, especially Americans, have to really prove
themselves before they're given significant minutes.
jimmer is shooting 38% from the field, marcus thornton and isaiah thomas
are both shooting 43%. Per 36 mins, jimmer scores 14.2 pts and 3.6 ast,
thomas scores 16.2 pts and 5.5 ast. I like Jimmer, but other guys are
outplaying him. However, I see him being a sixth man in the future after
improving his defense and efficiency.
Exactly I watched every game with the cougars at BYU and It took him a
whole 2.5 years to get recognized there, people have got to give him time
in the NBA i mean he is going to get better... just give him time( in both
ways, Coach smart needs to play him more and he needs some 2 years to get
more experienced)
@YelIowMamba Shooting %50 the past 3 games...More than elite... because he
was kept in long enough to get his rhythm ... He has NO difficulty getting
his shot off...... and now he is starting and he is obviously the best
player on this team... Sorry... Jimmer is the Real Deal and is just
beginning to shine...
i would understand if the kings were a playoff team and smart was benching
jimmer but their record is awful so give the kid a chance. in the games i
watch he plays decent defense and usually makes a positive effect on the
game. i dont see why they dont play him more even if he is coming off the
bench
@mgrealdeals to me he'll be a mike bibby kinda player great three point
shooter and can distribute. and he has alot more range too which makes him
even more deadly. i seriously dont get why hes on the bench either. they
have terrible management and dont have the players in the right mind set.
get him to the knicks suns or magic. he can do well on a team with open
offense and who rely on the 3 ball. idk how rookie contracts work but if
the next season the knicks get him then they really need to do that. in the
right system that 3 ball will be amazing.
@mgrealdeals jimmer will never be an elite player. Try to guess his field
goal percentage right now...40? 38? nope.... he shoots 36%!!! that's not
elite, thats not great, not good, not ok, not average, not bad... thats
horrible. No wonder he sits on the bench
@CouchMonst3r Not a very good comparison. First off, Redick is a very good
player off the bench for the Magic, but their games aren't even remotely
similar. Jimmer can handle the ball something Redick has never been known
for.
@CouchMonst3r Isaiah is getting a lot more playing time now and fits better
with the Kings. Jimmer does best when he's getting his shots in, but
there's not enough shots to go around between Evans and Thornton and
Fredette
@MrTrollSwag He's on the bench. They're winning. What's there to get? If
they go on like a 5+ game losing streak, then yea it's time to find minutes
for Jimmer, but for now it's really not a mystery why he's on the bench.
his minutes are very sporadic, he often only plays in garbage time late in
the 4th quarter and when the game is already over on the scoreboard. even
when he has a good game or on fire, coach "smart" still takes him out
@TSuriyan72 biggest hype in the draft? im not sure which draft you were
watching, but everyone was saying he wouldn't be able to play well in the
NBA and wasn't athletic enough to run the point or play good D

+Ernest Hemple Always seem to go into a system with established guards, ending with him stuck on the bench. Westchester seem to be a good program, though, so maybe the Knicks will give him a call up.
