I have watched several interviews now by Llewellyn King with Amitai Etzioni and I would like to hear more from Etzioni. Also if he reads these comments, I would like to request he publish a guide to his past books for current researchers since I would like to know which books he believes are still current and/or which of his newer books are 'replacements' of his earlier work. I was very excited to see this topic addressed by Etzioni and would really like to hear or read more of his views on this topic. I agree that our culture will be forced to find a better balance between work for pay and meaningful unpaid 'work' such as raising children, elder care, creative pursuits, and leisure. As computers have replaced much manual labor in my life-time, I am seeing forecasts that computers will replace knowledge workers in my son's lifetime.
