I recommend you get the i7 if you can because the i7 is a lot faster than the socket 775 gen. For a Asus P6T, Intel i7 920, oc that to 3.8-4ghz, and 12 gigs of ocz pc12800 ram and you are set for GTA 4. You dont need the 12 gigs, 6 gigs is fine but all of that is bout 850-950$ canadian for me. If you cant the Q9650 is a good processor but if you are upgrading you should just get what I mentioned because the Q9650 is like $500 as it is :)

On the 10th July they are discontinuing the i7 920 & 940. This is because the new i7 is going to be released on the 1st of september. It has full intergration of the northbridge including the PCI-E controllers which should eliminate bottlenecking. So they also range from dual core's to Quad core's. So if your getting an i7 soon think carefully. Also nice video. Keep em coming. :)

your an idiot man, of course it's not going to look as good on youtube, being the quality gets reduced, and he's also using a cam corder to record it, use your brain man. fuck sakes. look for a recording of the game taken with a recording program like FRAPS, if you wanna see what it really looks like. (No offense to the uploader lol) and PS3 blows.

@serega7b Видео о производительности конкретной стоики, а не об игре. А фрапс к твоему сведению убивает фпс до 20, весь смысл видео пропадает. ДЯТЕЛ ты епт.

dont know if someone already told you but you have a old patch for gta4 get the patch 5 and you will see ALOT of improvments to the fps!!! it hurt knowing you playing it with the old patch..ohh lol maybe the patch wasent avalible when you recorded this.its quite old

his 4870x2 isnt doing shit. His i7 is actually doing all of the work. GTA 4 IS ALL CPU. GPU doesnt do shit. I have a Q6600 @ 3.2ghz, and 2 XFX gtx 260 black editions in sli, equilivent of gtx 280 and i get like a lol'able 20-30 fps, most bs ever.

Its the No restriction mod, you should get it with your 4870X2, since as you can see the 2 gb will be used then. He has 2 gb on the gpu and with all settings max he it says 1400 of the 1000, after the benchmark 75% video Memory was used.

with that resolution I got 48,66FPS But viewdistance only 64. I use: E8500 @4,2GHz, HD4870 1gb, 4gb RAM, win xp 32bit =( But enought fps for me to play, just cant get max viewdistance/resolution at same time.

Very good card for a small monitor. Whats the point of that? Get a 22" at least. Yeesh. Wasting money on a great card that can play high resolutions, but your using it on a square 17". At least it looks 17.

Why do you use so low res? Isn't the GTX 295 and 4870X2 almost the same? And an other guy got almost the same setup, but with GTX 295 and he gets 63 fps with all settings max and 1920x1080 (1080p)

the crashes is it only gta iv we are talking about now or is it all common new games? i read about that crash thing with ati cards running gta iv... they are talking about a patch for that though.

Well i bought this system like 7 months ago, i paid 2000$, for only the "BOX" Yeh its cheaper now , not by alot tho. Oh and i bought a new monitor, 24"incher, if people are interested lol.

@danec1992 how can u say tht when gta 4 was made on a bunch of pc's to be released on systems? also ps3 cant be better because of the lack of changing graphic cards and video cards :P
