Oh absolutely it will rip. Have you ever rode a kfx700. I have no trouble climbing steep hills .there is videeo of me climbing .I really only added about 175 lb in my conversion
love your builds keith!!! I was wondering what you used for the body panels
good to know about the plastic barrels.you can get a few different colors
to wicih is great blue green black even seen orange and yellow a couple of
times..keep up the good builds and videos
Thanks, it's hard to find this kind barrel I use they are perfectly cylinderical not accually barrel shaped.you can accually cut the top and bottom off and unroll it to a flat sheet. I also have some other builds at MRHTIEK12.thanks again
In your ride videos on your other channel there's a red utv that rolls
over. What kind of bike is that. I have been guessing it to be a Yamaha 250
or 350. I have been watching those ride videos over and over.
I think that u should lose the Murray rear fenders and continue the boxy
look... Also by the time this is done I think you may need a beefier trans
cuz dam she's packin on the pounds lol
Puppet Kicker! I had to go with a full face shield when grinding, I had
sparks getting around the goggles I was wearing, been to the doctors 2x to
get metal from my eyes, not going for a 3rd try! Project is coming along
well, I am impressed! I'm putting a TRX200SX on an ezgo electric golf cart
frame, I can appreciate all the thought you put into each step.
Looks cool, where you going for a Jeep look in the front or did it just
happen??
Idea, put a small 12volt cooling fan in to help with air flow under the
hood.
Also a car stereo, lol
Just thinking, you could have built this thing without the murray body and
it would have probably looked the same as it does now. Love it though. Bad
ass.
Its more like a UTV bulit around a murray. I love it though. Its looks better than anything you can buy in a store. I notice you love those Briggs & Stratton vanguard v twins. I prefer B & S myself.
+CumminsRescue24 different controllers give you different functions. the RF remote has a setting to strobe in every color. they are like 5 bucks on ebay
Do I need an antenna shock spring to keep the antenna or the rack from
breaking? I mostly trail ride and I am mounting them on a Maverick as I
noticed you had done. I am thinking of using the factory holes for the
whips.....thoughts? Thank you again for the help!
The spring is a good idea, depending on how stiff the antenna is. If you use a fiberglass whip, you don't need it. If you use a CB antenna, then you will need a spring.
I see in your material list you list a 5M long roll of LED's, however in
the comments you mention 15. I just want to be clear on which is correct
for the two whips? I am hoping the 5M seeing that I just ordered it! I got
to reading comments after to better prepare for the install and I saw the
comment with 15. Thank you!
Ok, excellent! Thank you for the help and great tutorial by the way! Everything should be here by Friday. Any tips for waterproofing the controller? I am thinking of using something such as a small pelican waterproof case and sealing the wire holes with silicon.
My first ones were to a battery tender cable and then direct to the battery. On my Maverick, I wired them in through in dash switch, but basically right to the battery. You can always tap into the power to the tail lights or something like that. it all depends on how and when you want to use them. I like to park with all lights off, except them. So I wanted them isolated on their own power.
do i have to wrap the whole whip down to the base or can i just do the top
section, im a real fan of led lighted whips, just not whips that are full
length down to the bottom, just wondering for when i get a rzr
I would recommend the entire thing. it keeps the light clean and you are wrapping a very tight pole. I have see the lights break with them not being covered.
You should be able to just wrap it half way you just need a long enough cord to get to the battery

Thats a good question and the reason its so high is well cause its cool lol and i wanted it to look good on that big frame so i think it would look better sitting up there a lil higher like it is.. But dont that thing just look like its ready to pull a lot

Homemade 4x4 UTV (Build Plans)
This is how I will be making a UTV for personal usage. The frame is from a 1972 Terra Jet car. The Mower is a Murray. I will be moving the mower up further and ...
Sounds like a good project! Just a couple of ideas. What if you put the 820
in the middle… then you wouldn't have to have such a long belt, and what if
you sat the body on springs to give you a bit of suspension like air ride.
And a dump bed with a tailgate like a ranger? Keep the awesome videos
coming!
by the time i move the whole mower up the tyranny well be moved up a lot as well but if i put it on springs or something like that then the chain would have too much slack when it bounces around and that's not anything good
I liked the golf cart idea better.
Pulley's are not a good idea the belts slip when wet.

+PuppetKicker Some neat ideas there. Personally, I'd be less inclined to use foam, and more inclined to build a couple of side pods or something- like pontoons but tucked in and integrated with the body. As for filling the framerails, I don't THINK compressed air is any more bouyant than air at atmospheric pressure- so you can probably skip the extra work.
well see thats a good question and well to be honest i was hoping that it would float by all air in the tires that would be enough to make it buoyant if not i may put some foam in between the frame of the mower and the frame of the chaise. And also I might make sure the rails of the frame that run from front to back on each side is sealed up good and put an air valve in them and fill them with air also
+PuppetKicker i find that with the slower wheelspeeds v treads do better backwards in mud and especially in snow. id turn em around even if you dont go in the water which i dont suggest you do... i know making it amphibious will put the projects kool factor over the top and pretty much secure the atltf build off victory but you gotta decide if its really worth it to u
I would keep the tires facing the way they are. I don't see a reason on
reversing the tires. Also I think it would be sick if you to make it wider
like you said. but where the seats are, do like you did with your racer,
have them sit a little lower. I would do the select 4x4, with that fron't
axle being a solid shaft turning is going to be a PITA if its in 4wd all
the time. Oh.. and maybe add some cheap suspension seats since there will
be no suspension on this. Its going to be a rough ride.
Great Ideals there man but the reason for the tires being turned around is so that they act as pedals when im in the water and they will help propel me forward
