This is the homemade h-shifter i made with my gamepad and it's using xpadder to emulate the axis into keyboard keys. Tested in: Live for Speed Euro Truck ...
Hy, i made a H-Shiter from a joy, but with ETS2 still does not work, can
you help me in configuration? I download the Xpadder, but dont work with :(
i tryed a lot of setup and other, but nothing :(
+MrAlexandros99i found the problem, can i use another button to clutch, my H shifters other stick don't work and i havent clutch pedal, i have a Manta Compressor Supreme 2 wheel, and dont have clutch :(
Having problem mapping the buttons. So Xpadder recognize the position the
shifter is in and i've registered a specific key to be pressed when its in
that position. The problem i'm running into is it refuse to work on Grid 2
and The Crew.
i havent played those games so it might be game specific.Make sure they support keys to be pressed for shifter and not an actual shifter which some games are limited to.
If you have any drawings or anything, could you send me a pm, I would love
to check them out since I want to build mine! :) Thanks in advance. Polish
translation by Google Translate: Jeśli masz jakieś rysunki lub cokolwiek,
możesz wysłać do mnie po południu, chciałbym sprawdzić je, ponieważ chcę
zbudować kopalnię! :) Z góry dzięki.
Very nice I am making the same shifter as well I just need some strong
plastic as the wood I have no good lol. Could I ask you some question about
your build? What how space is there in between the rose joint/rod end to
the H gate? and would you be able to send a template measurements of your H
gate as it looks good :D Thank you.
A lot of time and effort was put into it. Sim racing is a hobby that many
of us put a lot into because when you do it right you get a lot of
enjoyment out of it (not to mention the good feeling that comes just from
creating something yourself). It is then very annoying when somebody comes
along and makes such an ignorant remark just because they don't know
anything about it, a feeling that can apply to any hobby a person might
have.
Hello, really really great job man! Great engineering but one thing is
missing my mind. How it's done that stick stays at certain gear when every
move is encountered with tension of the springs. E.g you put in 3rd gear
and you are pushing against the spring and then when gear is in stick stays
there and it isn't pushed back in N by the tension of the spring?
Thank you for your reply ;)
i dont know why people keep asking those kind of questions...you can see
EVERYTHING in the video...its not getting better by telling you that the
bolt you see in the video is ...uhhmm A BOLT. for 2 cents ... i dont get
it. anyway VERY nice shifter. i love it ! :D you took your time over this
one i suppose :)
just tell me how could you spent too much time for building something...if
you are slow thats one thing, but you say that one should stop at a certain
point cause its not worth thinking further and further?? this is very
important. very well, this is how you make progress then lol. i dont get
it.
"Hello, Logitech? Yes, it's me. I wanted to say sorry about what I said
about your mother, and the gaming wheel setup isn't too expensive after
all, as I'll be purchasing one. Yes. Yes, I'm sorry about what I said about
your genitalia. No, you're right, it's way more difficult than I thought."
sorry bud im just saying it seems like too much time was put into doing all
this stuff. ive never even seen one of these sims are they really relistic?
i never swore at you so i dont know why you acted so belegerent back
towards me
I was almost done designing a new shifter on Cinema 4D, a simpler one but
very real feel and full metal body and mechanism, however watching this is
just discouraging. Fuck.
Now imagine that annoyance amplified by the fact that the same thing
happens whenever your hobby displayed to the public and you can begin to
understand my reaction.
wow that looks awesome! looking at other shifters, they seem to be a lot
simpler in design. does this design have any advantages compared to say the
th8 rs?
Love how he chooses a classic Group A BMW M3 for the H-Shift demo :D
Palanca de cambio de marchas casera. H-shifter DIY homemade
Si no
so what parts do i need have you got a link or can you give me a short list? and say when i have made it can i just use a plug in and play or do i need to install it?
+Nicholas Crosfield You can find some parts in motor shops and in Castorama or OBI markets. Some parts were made by me. You need workshop, some time and idea what do You want ;)
nice i like it but 1 question now the stick will stay in place but how your
are going to program whice hole what gear is now its just a simple piece of
wood and holes in it to keep the gear in place
+Rohit Choudhari The name of the app I used is "MungoGamer Remote Steering Wheel".The pedals are really simple, They're made of an old keyboard and some plastic parts to press three buttons.
How do you actually made those ? In your previous video you use a mouse in
your steering wheel but here you use a smart phone app right ? Which is
better in your opinion ? And the H shifter, what is it made from ? The
pedal is quite funny but still nice work man ! Such creativity !
+Kryptonite I certainly prefer the one that uses a mouse, since the smartphone app has a short delay in it. I made the H-Shifter using parts of generic controllers (those that cost 10 bucks). I actually created another version of the pedals, which this time is made of wood and controller parts (so it measures pressure), but I haven't had have time to record it yet. Thanks for your kind words.
