It sucks that you haven't seen Shiki Jitsu. I found a download for it pretty easily too. It's basically like all the motifs of Eva got their own movie: over the top characterization, anti-escapism, depression, suicide, trains, death, white text on black, etc. The first two acts are astounding; the cinematography is still great and not nearly as ridiculous as Love & Pop, the themes and symbolic scenes are executed pretty well. The third act goes way out of bounds and literally ends with the characters interrogating one another about escapism while sitting on folding chairs while leaving lots of loose ends in the main story (sound familiar?) It would have been really cool if you had seen this at the time of this video because of its relation to Evangelion though

It still baffles me how Eva's gaming potential is wasted on Pachinko of all things (Konami is probably trying do a similar thing but their problem is everyone is too pissed off at them to even play them). I mean sure there have been games on the N64, PC , PSP, and Ps2 (And the sega saturn IIRC?). But nothing that utilizes the action of the series to it's fullest potential. I mean well have all these medium to explore the characters, namely the show and the movies themselves, but there should be something that can explore the more action packed stuff that happens. Or even something that foregoes actual canon in place and just makes something thats fun to play with the Evas in your control.

You could say that Hideki Anno is Anime in general.
