The truck is a '98 Explorer. Rear axle is a Chevy 14-bolt with a Detroit
Locker. Front axle is right now a J10 Dana 44 with an Aussie Locker but I
have a Dana 60 thats slowing taking form. All axles have 5.13 gears. On the
back its running Maxxis CCs and Interco SXs on the front. The engine is
stock because engine power is never really the issue in rock crawling.
Yes the pump runs off of the engine. Right now its running from a Chevy
Lumina's power steering pump, but will probably revert back to the original
engine's power steering pump for easier pump maintenance and removal.
@fudogchomp It was running the stock pump but there is no traditional "gear
box" - instead, it had a steering valve (aka "orbitrol") and then a
hydraulic cylinder to turn the tires.
