I have a 2002 mustang v6. Randomly idles high around 1000 rpm(yes the
engine is warm) shutting the car off then back on usually works. Recently
replaced the IAC. No vacuum leaks that I can find. Anybody know what the
problem is?
I have a problem with my Opel vectra from 2000. something called a EGR
thing? Or maybe its called a exhaust valve. Ever heard about that?
Expensive repair?
EGR valves are usually a relatively cheap repair. Basically it recirculates exhaust into the engine to reduce emissions. If inspections aren't done in your area, and you don't care about emissions, you can drive without fixing it. Otherwise, it shouldn't be a huge blow to your wallet.
Hey Eric, I have a 99 GMC Jimmy, and my right turn signal blinks really
fast. I've got out and watched the lights blink and it appears that all the
bulbs are working. My left turn signal blinks at a normal speed. Any help
would be appreciated.
Check for corrosion in the bulb sockets, the bulb might illuminate but might not get full current and be dim. Also look for corrosion or faulty wiring if you happen to have a trailer harness tied into your tail lights.
On my car (1990 Camry), mine does this when I have a blinker light out. It's a function based in the wiring that when it's not using as much electricity (because it's using one less light) it blinks faster. Make sure every single light is working properly. If the problem continues, I would guess it's an issue of the little electrical system that handles the lights. Getting into wiring issues like that can become a real drag, so I can't help there.
