I am thinking about trading my current 4x4 for a banshee, but everywhere I
look people keep saying that they are money pits and they blow up a lot,
have you had any trouble with yours?
Okay, thanks for your help, I have always thought that banshees are cool fourwheelers, but everyone just keeps saying that they are nothing but problems, as long as I don't beat up on it and run 93 octane fuel through it, I think I should be good though, great videos by the way.
+Nick Moskal Check very very closely for any case cracks especially where the chain might have flown off. Look for fluid leaks where the cases come together. It should have good compression if it is a fresh rebuild. Check all the rubber boots and seals make sure there arent any cracks. the rear axle should be tight in the carrier without and side side sloppy movement or the bearings are done. Obviously check the front A arms and frame to make sure nothing is bent.
The one I am looking to trade for the guy just put a 2 to 1 carb kit on it and a 2 into 1 exhaust on it, he says he only has 10 hours on the new top end, is there anything that I should pay particular attention to when looking at the atv?
The Banshee is a sport quad. Generally speaking sport quads require more maintenance than your typical 4x4 utility style ATV. The big thing to decide is whether you want a two stroke based engine or a four stroke based engine. I have the Banshee, which is a two stroke 350, and I have the YFZ450, which is a four stroke 450. From my experience four strokes will last longer before they need a top end rebuild but two strokes are easier to rebuild because you don't have to deal with all the valves. Most of the time people blow up their banshees is because they have an air leak or their mix is too lean. Sure they can be money pits if you go crazy and keep adding chrome and trying to get more and more horsepower but I am happy with setup I am running is the Toomey T5 exhaust with a Trinity Stage IV single 35mm keihin carb intake.
hahaha yeah this one really gets the heart pumpin. its a lot steeper in person thats for sure.

Yamaha Banshee 350
Haulin ass on my 1998 Yamaha Banshee 350 four wheeler ATV up Copley Mountain on Trail 4. I basically took off at top speed seeing how fast I could make it ...
I got em off amazon they are called KC HiLites Daylighter Chrome Spot Beam. Not sure if they upgraded the my bikes electronics to handle the extra output or not. They were on the bike when I got it but I busted one and had to order them again. I see them on ebay but cheapest was amazon though.

Hey I'm about to purchase a 99 blaster from my Friend he always has done
work on it and took care of it but I'm not sure how good the quad is would
you recommend it?
+QSA rex dealers wont let you test ride but if you have cash a private party will sometimes let you test ride it if you let them hold the cash while you ride it. that way they know if you wreck on the test ride then you will pay for it. I'm sure with paddles a blaster could get around in the snow but it is not exactly what it is made for. most of the time when riding in the snow you really you have to keep the speed up or sink.
+TrailBlogger alright thanks I'm not getting it from a dealer so test riding other quads isn't an option but I think I'm going to get it:) but do you think it will be a reliable quad for snow and mud cause it is a 99
+QSA rex I have never owned a Blaster but it is a Yamaha so that's a plus! I would say test ride the Blaster and also test ride a Warrior 350 or Raptor 350 and just see what one you like riding more
Not at all, and it seem to do it more when the bike is fully hot. Next
thing I'll do is change the Reeds and I have bought exhaust packing, so
I'll change them as well.
They are Kenda Bearclaw tires. I freakin love them!!
Yamaha Banshee 350 GoPro Hero3 Black Edition Helmet Cam HD POV
I sold the Warrior and bought a Banshee 350. This was my first time riding the twin cylinder, two stroke, 350 monster at Copley OHV Area. Twist throttle felt sorta ...
the switch throttle is gone and I went back to the stock thumb which I have
always preferred for quads. I also replaced the stock twin mikuni setup
with a single 2 into 1 Keihin carb / Trinity Stage IV intake and this thing
rips! The lights are KC HiLiTES 1630 Daylighter (about 70 each on amazon)
with a stabilizer bar across the middle. At first I thought they would be
too big and wobbly for trail riding but they actually mount really firm and
stay put even in the rocky stuff.
Nice... I've owned a banshee, good bikes. I sold my 250R... I'm thinking
about getting another sheee. I would ditch the twist throttle, it's
unforgiving in tight woods riding. Looks like you got some AM lights??
looks good, your gona love it.
