I got almost exactly the same car as the white one... Mine is a 1.8 8v GTI
MK2 from 1984(build 1983) so mine is really one of the first ever produced
:P These look like they should look, original! Congratz with such a nice
video!
I've just changed the dogbone mount on my TT (for a red powerflex one). It
is more of a mod you can feel. It's transformed the drive of my car and
recommend it to every owner, if your dogbone mount hasn't already been
replaced.
i own a VW golf 1999 and it has a big motor and my local mechanic says it
is too big for the car and the probles is that the motor mount i have to
change it every 6 months(regular ones) will the dogbone be better?
i just added the dogbone inserts on my 04 gli by far best 25$ i have ever
spent! def. more vibration through the steering wheel but i takes away any
wheel hop and gives the driver bette feel..highly recommended
I went from a 2004 Nissan Titan Crew Cab to a 2009 GTI from because of the
gas prices. I was really afraid of loosing power when I needed it
especially when entering the freeway, I'll tell you what, the GTI is just
as responsive as the powerful Titan's V8 if not quicker with half the gas.
This is fun fun fun to drive. I am 6' tall 260 lbs, plenty of room in the
front seats and even more space and amazingly comfortable in the rear
seats. Summer 2010 in CA I spent $85-$90 and 280-300 miles on
@MrMadmardin If you get one... you'll love it. I wasn't even considering it
until about a week before I got mine. I looked at the genesis coupe, mazda
speed 3 and subaru wrx, and I chose this because it's the best combination
of fuel economy, power, and comfort/accessories. Go check out my channel, I
have two videos of mine so far. Btw, You can get the GTI chipped by APR and
it won't void the warranty (stage 1 only i'm told, it's about 40-50HP more,
~75 more lb/ft).
I saved a good down payment but my car note is still over $400 a month.
That`s ok because this will help me get my credit score up and ready to buy
a house next! I have 5 years to pay this car off and hopefully I`ll buy my
own place. I`m still living with mommy and daddy. LOL I pay gas and light
though. Don`t know how old you are but if you do get one soon "youtube it".
What color do you like?
i've had a 07 GTI for almost 3 years and trust me, its definitely worth it.
What everyone says is true: its the all around best package you'll get for
the money... not the fastest or the best handling, however the interior
quality is amazing, still looks sexy as hell, very practical, always puts a
smile on my face and has the best feeling steering wheel of any sub-50k car
... good luck !!!!
I recommend them....I`m 42 and this is my first new car and my first
import. I was always for American cars but in 2006 when they revamped the
GTI, I started likeing them alot. I`m 6 feet tall and these cars have alot
of room......of course if someone is sitting behind me I have to adjust my
seat....but it`s the same with every other car.
Thanks amigo! In Mexico you see Volkswagon cars every where! Very popular
over there! I wonder how the GTI`s are in the snow? I`ve been to Maryland
and D.C. b4.....my uncle had a Mexican folk music band and me and my
brothers were the road crew. Got laid over there by a fine ass black chick!
Of course I paid her after......(drum roll) ;)
Haha no, it will take me a while to afford it, if I can one day. Im only 18
now. I personally like almost all colors on the GTI, even in white it looks
badass altough Im not the biggest fan of white cars. Red looks just as
great as the stylish black does. But if I could choose I would take a blue
one, they are magnificent.
Just bought a 2-door 2012 GTI Autobahn (DSG). The dealer showed me the spec
sheets for the 2013 GTI and the 200 hp engine and differential system are
the same as the 2012... It's still a MK6... The MK7 will probably hit North
America as a 2014 model? The Dynaudio system in my GTI Autobahn, sounds
boss to me...
awesome car! I drove a 2011 4door manual the other day. With the leather
option, nav, and sunroof I couldn't believe how nice it was, plus there is
some lag but once boost kicks on it felt like it pulled a lot quicker than
my mk5 r32
You can always tune your GTI though and it isn't expensive but we're going
to miss out on the new diff the GTI will get. I hate the current brake
based one, it wore out my brake pads after like 35k KM.
Your still young, stay in school and get a good job, then buy your GTI. Or
if you make alot more money buy a more expensive car! Good luck to you
little bro and thanks for your kind words man. Peace
