Denmark is a Scandinavian country in Northern Europe and the senior member of the Kingdom of Denmark. It is the southernmost of the Nordic countries, ...
@creativebollocks Since I'm danish I know that you just said isn't true. We
aren't all cimmunists and we have our ups and downs, but we didn't say we
are the happiest, Some from USA did.
quill keep in mind countrys in the north say norway, finland, canada and
such or way in the south arnt as "long" as they appear, thats the
projection method for charts used (mercator), plus the north of norway isnt
densly populated thats why the county seems huge. there is no war reason
for the sweeds to fight the norsk as you see the border lays on top of a
mountain range, ou shouldnt be afraid of them getting to big or attacking,
empirewise you want to stabilise finland before the easterners
Quill, you can easily spot good raiding targets with the wealth filter.
doesn't give you fort details but you can just filter it manually. I found
that Italy and Greece are both great. Arab nations are rich too but well
defended. Central Europe is ok too.I easily made 500gold for the wealth
wish in a few minutes by raiding Greece/Byzantine Empire I also heard (but
yet to confirm) that you only need 500 troops to raid as fast as
possible,so you should spread out more.
Quill, do remember that you will get much more warscore if you take the
provinces of the leader of the rebellion. If you take provinces of other
participants then you will get less warscore. So the quickest way to end a
rebellion is to siege and take the provinces of the leader in the war.
also i have another question. I do not have this game because i don't
believe i would ever understand it. anyway in multiplayer can you and your
friends be dukes and counts of the same country? because that would be
hilarious to see them fight over who would rule the country.
That was just painfully funny..."Oh, this won't be a problem...is that all
the troops you have?" bam bam bam bam bam bam, everywhere turns. That's
just cruel how everyone can turn but very historical I suppose...daddy
died? Kill jr!
I once had a king who lived for 103 years (Normal max in the game it seems)
but who fell into a coma during battle around age 50. Guy ended up
outliving some of his grandkids. Great incentive to get the "Abdicate the
Throne" mod.
Man this game. "Hey guys, how about including this script? - you manage to
pull a one-year old out of his hiding hole and throw him into the dungeon.
Blank stares. Vikings? Yes...Vikings. This is such a great play through.
Yes - It requires you two own at least two of the four kingdom titles AND
80% of the combined land of Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland. Just like
the the "regular" 1066 onward game.
One really thinks you're suffering from self-deprecation when your name is
Bjorn, Quill calls some Bjorn in the game "Bjorn the Useless," and you die
a little inside. Okay...
When people used to commit suicide by hanging they stood on a bucket. When
they wanted to finally kill themselves they would "kick the bucket" so the
rope would kill them
It was fun to watch from the side as a squashed out (by Svithjod and
Sjaelland) Tavastians/Finland how Svithjod/Sweden just fell apart when the
crown changed ownership
Vassal troops are dependent on the tech (and buildings) in the
province/holding they are raised from, so if you want to use vassal levies,
it is better to have them at higher levels. Also, as a vassals econ tech
grows, their income grows, which means they pay you more in taxes. And the
chance of some rebellions is partially dependent on the culture tech in
those provinces, IIRC. Plus, the AI isn't good at using the spymaster to
steal tech, and neighbor bonus is SLOW, away from your capitol.
Also, you should have at least sieged down Rome. It's top holding is a
Bishopric, not a Barony, so it has a much lower fort level (the province
fort level is based on all the holdings.) Plus, you can get around 60-100
gold from sieging most non-castle holdings all the way down, in addition to
what is shown in the loot bar. Turn all the looting related messages to
high priority to see it as a pop-up, otherwise it is just shown in the
upper right corner.
Dear Quill, I really would love to see you play Crusader Kings 2 again, and
persue those very odd achievements like inbread, dwarven castle, black
widdow... Start out as a count, persue those crazy goals, and stay alive as
a dynasty. Please concider it. It would make a great and funny game to
watch you play and comment.
Anyway, thank you very much for the hundreds of hours of gameplay of yours
I enjoyed. You're a natural!
(Michiel from BRUSSELS!)
Also, when I had conquered Denmark, Norway and Iceland, I had like 6
factions who wanted to f-ck me over, and they had like 3-5000 troops, how
do I keep the opinions of me good, like if the ruler of a county, lets
say.. Skåne which is under my kingdom, wants to rebel against me, can I
replace him with someone who likes me? I did try it, but the guy I tried to
replace him with went from a 50 approval to -100 instantly.
Although you are correct on Odin's place in the heavens you are a little
mistaken on Zeus' place. Yes he was the chief god among the gods but he was
by no means the wisest. In the Greek Pantheon it was Athena, not Zeus, who
was seen as the wisest of all the gods. It was under her wisdom that many
of the Greek heroes of legend became what they were, Jason for example.
Heya Quill! I've purchased Crusader Kings II and I watch your let's play,
but I can't seem to really -do- anything in game. Is there any kingdoms
that are more "noob" friendly then others? Or, if you haven't already,
could you make a tutorial series? I'd love to sink my teeth in to this
game, but I don't know where to start! Any help would be appreciated. :D
well... i have a CK2 old gods game as King of Denmark and Sweden and money
is not a problem for a norse player... u just sack everything compleetly
and return with 2 raiding fleets with 3k gold on each one... after 150
years i had every holding in all provinces build in both
kingdoms+universitiys in all cities ;D the teching was so fast... xD
Quill, I have an idea for you to continue the LP. Why not reform the Norse
faith, form Scandinavia, and just try spreading the faith through the East?
Just conquer places like Polmerania Lithuania and Poland, put a Norse faith
character in charge, and lead the Norse faith against outside threats. Just
an idea for ya , and just strengthen
The faction's percentage of men thing is out of the total troops you can
raise, including those of your vassals, not just the amount you personally
own. Retinues or conquering more land (using his levies) are the best way
to lower that percentage. The percentage will also drop as the rest of your
vassal's levies refill.
well, your vassals tech will, but that's the points they would use toi buy
stuff. it would still grow with the help of the spy master and the
neighbours bonus etc. it's worth it it. and you are no löonger dependent on
using the average military organisation lvl etc, so it doesn't really hurt
as much.
Just started playing the old hods yesterday formed norway then got maimed
in battle died at the age of 33 my youngest boy on 10 took over the kingdom
and his uncle uprised but were defeated untill i was assassinated at the
age of 24 and my 2 year old is king... Now sweden wants to kill me
Can anyone answer my question, whenever I click on the map.. color thing
above the mini map (like diplomatic relations) the color always changes, if
a tile is red, 5 seconds later the reds turn green and the green turns
red.. is this a bug or is it supposed to be like this?
The developers have said that to learn from playing, the best place to
start is a county or duke in south Ireland at 1066. Not many strong enemies
around, few holdings to look after, and a few targets around to create the
kingdom of Ireland.
