Hello - were you ever chased away from photographing anything for the
recent pictures? Also, did you have someone guide you around the former
base? I never served here but explored and did not know what many of the
buildings were used for
credits from the respective owners of those pictures they aren't mine.i just collect them in the web.we live near as in meters only from the fence of clark.i roam alot inside the base and ive been through almost every pictures in this vid.thank you for watching..
I just spotted a house like the one I lived in from 1966-1969....it was
like a double wide trailer. They were called re-locatealbes (Spelled wrong)
...I'm trying to figure out what the name of the street was that I lived
on. We were in between the Airman's Club and Lily Hill. I remember the
med-vac busses used our street as a direct route to the hospital. Do you
know if there was a street called Gibbs? this is what I think it might have
been. Anyway that you for a great video!
next time that i will visit clark i will try and look for that gibb street between the former airmans club and lily hill.for what i know some of those old named streets have been labeled under new named to figured what the name of that street before.hope i could took photos or vid and send them to you Ma'am.thank you for watching... ^_^
Wow!! What memories this brought back for me. My Dad was a pilot at Clark
Air Base from 1963 to 1966. We followed him over after 3 months. Initially
we lived off base awaiting base housing. Shortly thereafter, we moved to
Shady Lane, the big old houses that the Japanese occuppied during WW 2. I
will always remember the beauty of the countryside as well as the warmth of
the Filipinos. I too served in the US Air Force and put in for an
assignment to Clark back in the 70's but was never fortunate enough to
return...I miss you with all my heart, my dear Philippines and her
wonderful people!!!
