Anodizing part 2. Anodizing 5083.

So heres part 2, anodizing 5083, which is notoriously bad to anodize. I usually reserve that alloy for black or really dark blue because it darkens as it anodises.

Anodizing - Part 1 - EADC Components

A brief description of my setup, using sodium bisulfate. Hope this answeres some questions in a logical fashion.

Dude, you need to grease both cups before you press them in. Huge mistake.

+Fernando Hernandez , Lubricating the parts prior to assembly can prevent galling and ensure a smooth, clean installation. However, lubrication is rarely necessary. If it's a very hard part, or if you're worried about marring, you may consider lubrication. A lot of the need for lubrication can be eliminated through careful design of the upper press tooling, which will assist in inserting the part correctly. The part went in smoothly here and did not bind, nor excessively forced. I am sure it is fine. Thank you for your concern.

+Shane Groves lol, I guess. I have done sloppy stuff like that. Quick and dirty works, but sometimes it can cause issue.

where'd you get those adapters?

eBay, look up Headset Press Adapters for 1 1/8 Chris King & Cane Creek Headsets.

does your sram x7 rear derailleur has a gap when u install it on the frame? , when i change my gear to the lightest (biggest cog) the chain falls on the smallest front cog, i dont know what should i replace

+monkeh88Awesome, I am glad you solved that issue. A smooth bike is a nice one.

+trsd2009omg i found the problem , it was my chain , 2 years old chain , when i replaced it with new derailleur and cassette , now it runs very smooth and silent, and that problem is now gone
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-40_yOC4HTBk/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAARQ/-FPHdA_4jcs/photo.jpg?sz=64
+trsd2009the hanger is very good shape and the threads are so good , this happened when i removed a link or 2 on the chain or when i tightened the bolts on the chainring i dont know which 1
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-xeKPEpalM24/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAABY/YnYa9RqkidA/photo.jpg?sz=64
There is no gap between the frame hanger and derailleur. I can see this being an issue. Are there threads through the entire hanger hole? Are the threads damaged? You may need to re-chase that hole. The tap is a metric 10mm X 1. If the threads are completely wrecked you may need to replace the hanger.
