+North50 great to hear! i just went to the dealer today to have a look and sit on it. man is it ever light compared to the ktm 690 enduro.. of course bigger motor but the weight is so nice, i feel more confident on it. i've decided to get both dirt tires and supermoto tires/rims.. i can't wait so excited!
+bunkerbuster I've been fortunate enough to own a few bikes over the years and the Husky is the bike I don't ever want to be without. Its just to much fun with the power thats on tap and being light weight for a dual sport type bike it has become the best bike I've owned. I couldn't see using it to commute with or take long adventure trips but some do. But for a bike to jump on and go ride for the day exploring back country or single track or blasting trails I wouldn't want anything else.
It has some things that KTM reserves for the six days edition. A 500 six days isn't available in the states. Plus I do like the white and blue look and everyone has a KTM.
Cool video man. I have my fe501 at about 50 hours and it started leaking
oil from behind the front sprocket. Keep an eye out for it and let me know
if you have the same issue. I'll be taking it back to the dealer so they
will fix it.
+Tyler Wortman Thank You, I'm only at around 14 hours and problem free :)but will keep an eye out for that. What oil do you use out of curiosity? Did you switch out the stock front sprocket?
Australian Hard Enduro: Killarney 2015 Ktm 300 exc chasing Lars Eiritz
This Footage Is from on board with Corey Dunstall. Chasing myself through some of the tracks returning to the cars on Sunday.
Short ride but first with the new FMF titanium header of the FE501. Bike feels very responsive and just keeps getting better every time I ride it. Side note, the 690 ...

Great video North50! I have a 690 and was riding with buddys last weekend
on beaches one of them have a new FE 501. Really nice bikes! Have a look at
my channel if you want.
+RideDigital Tv Yes! That's right! These are not cheap bikes (ktm, Husqvarna), and i want to know what i'm getting into before spending my hard earned money. But don't you worry about it.
+North50 I'm interested, too.I'm going to wait for more reviews, check out the forums, etc., to see if all is good with this bike. If it's good with no real issues (and my money is right), i'll go for it.
+You Toober As i said, the fueling issues are solved from 2014 with singel ECU, doubble spark plugs etc. The problem with badly installed electric harness is still an issue at the later model. This caused a radiator leak at my 690 (a connector for the fan was "eating" a hole in the thin radiator) This is a known problem. If you are able to get the 701, i think that would be as good or a better choise! :)
+North50 I'll do more research. I went to the international bike show (here in New York) a while back and the bike (ktm 690) looks great! If the bike is really rid of the bugs and quirks, it would seem like a definitely buy, but now here comes the Husqvarna 701!Decisions, decisions....
+Mattias Eriksson That's good news (if true!).I was looking for a more powerful dual-sport bike and didn't want the usual: klr650 or the dr650. But i didn't want any problems either. I was reading in the dual sport forums about riders going crazy trying to fix problems with their 690s. Things that no bike owner should have to worry about (with a new bike), especially with the price you pay for a new ktm 690!I'll do more research.
+You Toober The guy riding the 690 in this video loves it and has had no issues at all. He just put Supermoto wheels and tires on it also. Great bikes for a true dual sport machine.
+You Toober No stalling or power band issues from 2014 model and up. Reliability is probably the same, but I have not had any problems yet. I can recommend the bike for Rally and Off Road Adventures, even as a light weight Adv travel bike. The 690 is awsome :)
+Mattias Eriksson Would you recommend the 690? I've heard they've had problems (stalling, parts falling off, power-band, reliability, etc).....or did ktm clean up everything with the later 2015/2016 models?
Brett, as always it depends on the rider. However, on gravel roads and the beaches the 690 is a rocket and is hard to beat due to power. On small track and enduro tracks the 500 is superior but so far not as much that i can't keep up. All in all the 690 is a very capable offroad bike and has rediculous amount of power for the tracks :)
Hei, this is very nice :)
I think this is an fmf apex for the ktm duke 690, is that right?? ;)
And we can see it works very good and sounds very very good to.
+CRF450X ADVENTURER sorry i dont have the pics when they customized it. I got it from the shop where i bought this slip on :) they do the piping and install
+wareyenetOH well someone has done a nice job then, Did you get some pics of it before it was fitted (Showing the adapter pipe)? Where did you find it? Ebay?
