The first session of the year on Bearley and the fishing comes second to the cook off between the old stager "Diablo" and the new comer "RidgeMonkey ...
Very biased and she totally missed the point the diablo coating is non
stick so no need for butter and it seals the contents in and if she had
taken the time to read the instruction they show you how to place square
bread on it. The ridgeway is good but its a double sided fry pan not a
sandwich maker ...
I have to say (and I'm not a ridgemonkey owner yet will be in about 5 minutes though) but I always have to slightly butter my toasties when using the Diablo on my Coleman even on the lowest heat, also suffered the usual burnt hands from the handle, the 2 halves coming apart and hitting the sect, the burnt edges, the wasted bread...think I'll stop there lol but I do love the way it seals the toasties
And the Ridgemonkey is not non stick. The Ridgemonkey far out performs the Diablo, it was ok when that was all there was but the Ridge is far more versatile.....oh btw not biased there are something's the Diablo does better as mentioned.
Totally agree with you on this. I have both. No mention of the seal that the diablo creates for things like banana and mars bar or runny fillings etc! Very biased review. The Diablo always went on last and she kept fumbling it "deliberately" referring to it as "this slidey thing" they're both awesome but neither are just toasty makers..
