hey scott wish i could help but my full time job is watching over my 79 yr old mother who has alzheimers and dont get paid but what my wife makes on unemployment and thats not much .I have a haying operation but that pays the taxes on our farm and keeps us going.your crazy to drive that many miles just filming trains but i guess somebodys got to do it.

In a way I'm crazy to drive that much but when I took a job that I have to drive 45 miles each way I figured what does a little more matter!

Scott, outstanding lashup on J783 and I loved the first rural shot in Cridersville! I am very sorry about your video files. I know that would devastate me as I don't go railfanning half as much as some people. I would easily be inclined to donate $20, however, I need to wait a few months. I am saving every penny to upgrade to a 4K camcorder, but once I do, I will happily donate. You have a strong channel, be proud of that!

I sold my current Panasonic HC-V700 for $285 to a guy in New Jersey (eBay). I'm selling a Vairo-Sonnar 28-70 lens for $250ish and a Contax Aria Body for $200. I will earn around $730 from this. I can either buy a Panasonic VX870 4K for ~650ish, or a Sony AX33 for $750ish. They'res pros and cons to both, I like the Sony for vividness, bitrate, and stabilization. I like Panasonic for the price, company(warranty). I want to get it before my upcoming trip to Wauseon, but I will most likely have to compensate by recording with my dad's Panasonic GH2 DSLR. Although it's video quality is soso, it has a 4/3'' sensor, meaning it will be utterly amazing in low light shots (early morning or late night)
