+Global Architecture Check your rev limiter! its the screw located t the backe of the throttle, screw it out but not all the wayonly do it to a max of 12mm.
+RAPTORIZED ///MCfocus all sorted bud there no problem but my thumb lol, l just didn't give the juice to it. got plenty speed and power. thanks for your help and advice bro yus l will stick with yamaha belt for sure with that particular part; cheers mate for your help
+AbbA My another advice: if you change belt - use only original yamaha belt - it is the best one, better than any other aftermarket belt. It is wider, stickier and gives better performance than any other "heavy duty" shitty belt.
+AbbA What are RPMs when you reach v-max: high or low? The vid would be helpfull.Anyway - you have to open belt cover. There might be more than one reasons for your problem. Worn belt might be one + roller weights do not work properly (the grease has been washed out and they are blocked). I do not think it is a case of wrong spring applied.... or centripetal clutch. Check rollers and belt at first. If the clutch grabs on higher rpms you probably have stall springs installed in centripetal clutch. But I do not think it is causing the problem.
+RAPTORIZED ///MCfocus hi and thanks for the reply back much appreciated. yes just buyed the quad 2009 YFM550fi FAPZ grizzly yesterday and was the first run on it, l buy from motorcycle dealer and there was nowhere to test run it, as it is not a registered vehicle for on the road test and yard is small, all gears work great H, L, N. R. P and when in L mode its even slower as in 15km/h, theres no bad noises or anything unusual going on when operating, just the speed factor, maybe only when taking off slowly in H L or R it kind of grabs a little instead of a smooth take off, l not sure its normal or what, l hope this helps you and cheers so much
+AbbA Usually G550 can run 100km/h in H and about 60 in L. If your goes only 35 km/h in High range there definitely is something wrong with it. You haven't writen enough about your problem so I do not know what is causing it. Was it like that from the beginning? If it was so - I wouldn't have bought it. What are other symptoms of this failure: rpms, sounds, etc. At first I would look into belt cover and check if there is everything fine. Do it and then you will know if belt or clutch is ok. You could make a video of it if you still had that issue.
+RAPTORIZED ///MCfocus wow ok, do you know whats wrong, why it wont do 60KHP is it a belt or other, lm trying to search it and so far they say belt or Cintripital clutch issues, now bummed out.....
Suzuki makes a tool to hold the clutch in place while you tighten the bolt.I would look for an OEM web site that provides a parts list along with optional tools. You also might want to look into spending some time on Highlifter.com (Suzuki forum) for lots of tips and mods for your bike.
