Small potatoes yams Videos

Hi, Jo, just watching some of your past videos. I have never seen a real yam. Thanks for sharing so much info on it. E :)

The leaves of sweet potatoes are edible. Apparently they are eaten in Asian countries. They have a high lutein content (that's the nutrient that is helpful in preventing macular degeneration). I was unable to post a link for some reason, but if you google sweet potato leaves lutein, you should find a number of links. LSU Ag department did a lot of research on this, and developed one or two varieties of sweet potato that are higher in lutein than older varieties (and identified older varieties that have high content). Thanks for this video showing the true yam. I didn't know they were so large. Is this the same yam that is grown in Asian countries? I see you have posted some other interesting videos which I will soon check out.
