And yet we as rural Canadians have trouble finding a doctor. When we get to
see our doctor which takes two weeks to book an appointment, he is so
overwhelmed with patients he doesn`t even know what kind of medication you
are on and the whole apt. takes under 5 minutes because he has 40 other
people he has to see. I think we should take a good long look at our health
care system before we start giving people false hope with this new
technology that is 50 years away, for rural Canadians anyway.
@ejungleska You are correct, however I believe the two to be one in the
same. Your right about those incentives though, and one of those incentives
would be the ability to open a private clinic. They have private clinics in
Alberta, and that frees up a lot of public services, totally paid through
insurance that is voluntarily paid. The services are readily available.
eg.MRI for Cancer on East Coast, 6 months to 2 years. Private clinic in
Alberta MRI for soft tissue injury-under a week.
@dhebert111 with all due respect but it sounds like you have more of a
rural issue than a health care issue. The government cant really force
doctors to rural communities. However, the government, along with local
communities could offer incentives to bring doctors to areas where there is
more a need. Besides, these new technologies, hopefully, will less the
workload for doctors who may be overwhelmed in rural communities.

Programmed to be Fat? - Trailer
Is exposure to environmental chemicals like Bisphenol A (BPA) contributing to the obesity epidemic, programming babies to be fat before they're even born?
Wow, I am 56 and skinny. But have seen quite a few of my life long friends
become heavier than their parents and grandparents. But they don't "over
eat". Some are so busy they barely eat. Yet they continue to gain weight.
