And I should totally send in a white pair of vans and then have you paint them!!! ^~^(Totally joking, I just really love your creative work on shoes)And I will definitely love to see that someday!
Hey Dan!! I'm so behind on your videos because I've been moving!! So glad
to finally sit and watch again. I've missed your humor! Thanks ! Everything
you mentioned is so spot on in regards to price increase and also,
Spider-Man? I'm not a big Marvel fan so thats why I probably have this
opinion, but I think a Marvel presence would be so much better in DCA.
Great video!
+mellymuse1 Glad to hear from you again, moves are exciting and stressful and crazy. But afterward it's like a new TV season has started and it's being shot in a new place and maybe some new characters show up. That's how I look at it. Yeah I agree that Marvel should go over in DCA probably in it's own new land or even by the studios part. Hopefully Tomorrowland will get it's act together and figure out what it wants to be too.
for me, it does make sense, but my mind and wallet don't want it to. i
think that it could potentially work for the overcrowding reasons, but with
hogwarts coming to universal studios and a cheaper annual pass in
universal, i didn't think they needed to do such a dramatic price hike. and
it will be weird seeing spiderman at the park, just because i remembered as
a kid seeing spiderman in universal, and when they had marvel mania
restaurant.
+borsche28 I think the price hike is a slow burn method of curbing the overcrowding, it's definitely going to make people reconsider if they will renew or not. I know I'm reconsidering, not because I'm mad or anything, but I'm paying for 2 adults and 2 kids so, dropping $3200-$4200 for us to go to Disneyland next year might be better spent taking us somewhere different for a change and then returning again in 2017? who knows, maybe I'll just renew my passport so I can make trips for youtube reasons, and then just by park hoppers and not bring the kids soo much next year? It will take some planning and some math to figure out what option works out best. And I agree with you on Spider-Man, to me he is very universal. It won't feel right until Spidey enters the MCU. Then it will feel better once he's been in some Disney/Marvel movies.
:p I guess so, I mean, it's different, will take some time getting used to, I suppose, just don't feel like it's "Disney Themed" at all. But like I said, I don't mind it, it's different, just will take time to get used to the idea I guess.
The way I see it, Disney has always been about great story telling, and Marvel has been telling some of the best stories around for years now. It was really smart of them to pick up Marvel from a business standpoint. I don't feel that it fits Disney soo much, but I have to say I am really enjoying what Marvel is doing with it's movies lately. Their partnership with Lucasfilm for Star Wars and Indy also makes sense for the same reasons, Disney wanted to be a part of great story telling and they had a great partnership, once George Lucas decided that he wanted out, there was no better company out there to take over Lucasfilms. I'd rather live in a world where Star Wars is being handled with care by Disney, rather than Universal or some other studio. Again, I don't really feel that the Marvel movies, and Star Wars are traditional "Disney" entertainment, but I really love each one in their own ways and if It had to be any company handling my favorite entertainment I'm glad it's Disney. Whether or not it belongs in the parks is another subject... hahah
Hearing Spiderman will be in the park makes me want to buy a giant can of
Raid. It gets worse by the week with all the non Disney interloper news
Love,a grumpy old man who hates change :)
+Bryan Burns The Avengers and characters from Disney Marvels Cinematic Universe feels ok to me. But just ok, not great. I don't love that Captain America, Thor, and Iron Man are in Tomorrowland. I feel they'd be better suited in California Adventure near the studios portion of the park. Tomorrowland also needs to figure out what it wants to be. Back to the bug issue, Spider-Man isn't Disney to me...yet. That might change in a few years once they Disney/Marvel SpiderMan movies come out. Only time will tell
Your personality is so calm and inviting! Something about you makes me feel
like we ARE best friends or family, like I've known you for a really long
time. I reallllly enjoy watching your videos, you're a cool dude.
Honestly, I would think that the annual passes are worth it if you're
planning on visiting Disneyland more than 10 days out of the year. Living
in Oregon, a trip to Disneyland includes additional prices like gas or
airfare and HOTEL accommodations. So a single 3 day trip is easily $1000
already. I would gladly pay that much for visiting Disneyland potentially
every day.
+KimSuecutie Dawww thanks! and even after the price hikes, I still think the Annual Pass is a great deal too!
