Ummm.... I pretty sure drag racers use constant mesh transmissions like a
motorcycle for faster gear changes down the strip because the gears are in
the design name. Constant mesh. The sycros will match the rpm on an up
shift as soon as you let off the gas and allow the next gear to engage
immediately after because the gears are meshed. You wold dumb to shift a
low rpm's there is less room for the sycros to match speed before the
engine falls to idle. A clutch is for get out of first gear.

@TheRoadkillers Sweet! I was on my TLR going to the AMA Mid-Ohio races last
weekend and a C6 (not Z06) Corvette was given me a hard time. I walked him
but it didn't kill him! I'm sure me weighing 250lbs. doesn't help LOL!

I do not mean to sound rude but you do know you do not have to use the
clutch on motorcycles right? Load the gear box on hard throttle, roll off
and a split second later the gear switches and your back on the gas.

I hate to break it to you, but people who don't like bikes and bikers are

No matter what anyone says, your bike is sexier than that lambo. I'm not a
liter-bike guy, but I do make an exception for the Superduke, the any of
the Aprilia Rotax bikes, and the TL1000r. Super jealous.

I race an lamborghini. Diablo sv on ac expressway. It was TO (Eagles)I have
a tl1000s. We had vehicles pegged at 190-195. Neither could pull away. Held
speed for 15 miles it was fun

wrong i shift in the air from 1st to 5th on my tlr no clutch no damage you
know nothing just let off the gas a bump shift and get right back on the
gas and run full syn. oil

Wrong. The TLR tranny can handle clutchless shifting just like every other
modern motorcycle transmission on the planet. Stop spreading
misinformation.

then both cars had to slow down for traffic.
