@GTAMoviesAndFlix Yea, I don't mean to downgrade Tyrod. If u see the video
I'm making u will see I make him look heroic. He seems to have outstanding
character and leadership skills. My point was that Boise did not make
Taylor a key in the game; they covered everything else and took their
chances w/ Ty. I look @ the lack of a spy as proof that Boise was banking
he could not beat them alone for the whole game. He took a hard hit in his
hammie and started cramping and it was over after that imo
Part of the reason for Tyrod's great performance was our gameplan. This
wasn't an option team. VT has legit threats at receiver and a QB who
scrambles to pass which is the tougher kind of scrambler to defend (TD pass
to Ryan Williams for example). BSU's defensive gameplan (imo) was to take
away everything but Tyrod and make him beat us with his arm. It was close,
but it was the right call. We didn't spy him, we stayed in zone, we crushed
the run, and left whatever's left. We won b/c of that
@pjohn56 People don't realize how good Tyrod's arm actually is. This year
his passing looks the best I've ever seen it. I give you guys credit for
killing Williams. He was a non factor accept for his TD's which weren't big
yardage plays. Tyrod tore you D up, but Kellen also Killed our D with his
arm. Pettis and Young were open all fucking game lol. Great game overall.
Hopefully Tyrod will be making money on the next level after this season.
Kellen as well. 2 great QBs.
As a BSU fan I underestimated this guy. We have been successful with
running QBs for the last few years and thought we would handle this guy. We
have a great defense which did hold Williams to 44 yards rushing. If it
wasnt for Taylor VT would not even been close. I think he will do well the
rest of the season, VT will probably be 12-1 or 11-2
At a Hokie fan I'm disappointed in our defense. They played decent at first
but then tanked at the end. But I give Tyrod all the credit in the world
and more, He put that team on his back and started carrying them. He was
gettin hit left and right but he didn't stop fighting. Not to mention his
passing looked great
@face4radio57 I'll give u that. I think u guys weren't ready for how good
we were. For that reason I believe u guys are VERY fortunate we fumbled
twice (at least once was a fluke). W/o that I don't think u guys are even
within 3 scores at game's end. Too much momentum and broken morale.
The 2010 Fiesta Bowl brought a hard-fought season to a close with a loss for the Horned Frogs. TCU head coach Gary Patterson, quarterback Andy Dalton and ...
I bleed purple! I was at the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, I feel like TCU was the
more dominant team, but... Boise had the experience in having been there
before. 17-10 with TCU throwing 3 interceptions and Antoine Hicks dropping
the tying touchdown. I HATE Boise!! But you still have to respect the fact
they have 2 BCS bowl victories and they ARE a good football team! But so is
TCU. A rematch for the BCS National Championship in the same stadium would
make for probably one of the greatest games in the
@ShakyBones797 what do u mean by "accepted their fate?" do u mean if they
had not been optimistic about the coming year after beating Boise in the
poinsettia bowl This might not have happened?!?!? Let me tell you something
man, the outcome of this game had NOTHING to do with last year! It was all
about who cam better prepared. Last year it was TCU, and this year it was
Boise. Don't get all personal just bcuz we beat u in 2008!
I'm a die hard Boise State fan. Born and raised here and student. And I
still somewhat believe that TCU was the more physical, faster, quicker
team. Their Punter kicked well and they had good special teams. If we
played them again we would struggle. But, BSU won somehow and coaching
probably had a lot to do with it. I don't want to play them again. Props TCU
BoiNeck nor TCU are top 5 teams. Texas and OU beat TCU by 3+ TD's. Boy-Z is
1-1 against them with a fake punt being the only difference between the
teams in Boy-Z's win. Virginia Tech will take the Smurfs to the woodshed.
Bet on it!
Quite possibly the two best teams in the country actually. take away media
hype and you've got two great teams that can take on anyone. And if you
think that's actually funny just wait 'till next year and see what happens.
tcu won the year before and boise won this past year. two equally talented
teams. this was the real national championship in my mind. imagine putting
boise's offense and tcu's defense on the same team. BEST TEAM EVER! lol
@BSUFan360 Absolutely - Huge BSU fan here as well, TCU played a great game.
I think they're a great team. There will always be sore losers no matter
what team exists
@zebarz Hey TCU fan here. I feel the same way about Boise State. Unless we
play each other in the NC next year, I'll be rooting for y'all all the way.
Great game.
A video of Virginia Tech's running game for the 2010 - 2011 season with running backs Ryan Williams, Darren Evans, David Wilson, full back Josh Oglesby, and ...
@thefollowingof That was my response to what I saw in the video, "pal." Why
don't you post a video of every one of his carries against the teams you
mentioned so I can see what methods they used. And please, remember that on
YouTube, people are commenting on what they see IN THE VIDEO THEY'RE
COMMENTING ON, not all things past, present and future in your sad little
world. See how he does against Boise State, then come singing his praises.
Until then, quit gushing, ya friggin' lovesick schoolgirl
Having not one, but TWO 1,000 yard rushers in the backfield will be deadly.
It'll be very interesting to see who starts. Any ideas Hokie fans? That's
gunna be a KILLER come 4th quarter time when the defense is getting tired
and VT has another PRIME back to come off the bench with fresh legs.
Oglesby and Wilson make this the BEST group of RB's in the nation. Bama is
up there with Ingram and Richardson, and OSU has 2-3 solid backs, as well
as at one time 5* RB Jaamal Berry. VT's is #1 though.
"Virginia Tech will [MOLEST] Boise State."????? Molest? Seriously? I saw a
t-shirt that says "BSU, we're gonna ride you all night." Maybe if Tech at
least buys them dinner first. Don't want to move too fast on the first
date. With all these sexual references it sounds like Tech really isn't
focused on the game. Just remember BSU is going to DC to play some
football. If molesting entire college football teams or riding them all
night is their way of coping with a loss then so be it.
@manchild12341 hahahahahahahahahaha that was good. I needed a good laugh.
if for some ungodly reason bsu wins, it would probably be from a trick play
or something. They have no chance shutting down the running game. I can't
wait for the game. Everyone knows tech's first play is gonna be ru up the
middle, but it doesnt matter because bsu has never been anywhere near his
type of talent. and don't go spewing off about the four times you've beaten
bcs teams recently. its getting old.
As a UVA fan, it pains me to admit that VT RB's are crazy good, but they
are. Probably 3 of the top 25 RB's in the country: Williams, Evans, Wilson.
Williams is the 3rd best in the country behind Ingram and Richardson at
Bama. Evans isn't much farther behind, and Wilson is the future (speed back
like Trent Richardson).
Virginia Tech will win this game, EASILY. They won't even HAVE to throw the
ball, but if they had to for whatever reason, Taylor has proven that he can
launch the deep ball, don't believe me? Ask Nebraska fans. VT = top 5 team
all year, and in the National Championship picture.
i agree David needs to red shirt. I playrd against him his JR, and SR year
in HS. yes he is fast as hell but he still needs to work on his ability to
run after contact. and an extra year will get him to the level that i think
he should be at
with their beast running game boise state is gunna not no wat hit them ryan
williams and darren evans david wilson and josh oglesby combined? damnn and
plus a little play action we got two great recievers danny coale and jarret
boykin
@cameroncrazie818 i think ryan williams will start but they will prob put
alot of formations with two running backs so they can get ryan williams and
darren evans in at the same time then wilson oglesby to back them up
im fucking sick of hearing about uncs defense. holy shit theyre going to
finish with the same record as last year vt will run all over them. no
gameplanning for this.
i think that we were believing the hype of our team and it bite us in our
ass. but now we r focus and every team in the acc that we face we will win
best believe.
Unfortunately, Boise State's defense doesn't use the "bumper cars",
"pinball" or "flyswatter" tackling methods. These guys are in for a rude
awakening.
