Hey Tai, you know someone told me about breathing in on excretion and then
out coming down, or lowering the weight... their reasoning was to have
oxygen to burn "for the exertion"
I completely see what you're saying and, I've always held my breath before
this, but i felt like it was out of habit.. which i came to think was a
"bad habit"..
I always feel stronger when i hold my breath for a moment on exertion , but
will you comment on the oxygen comment that i was informed about? is
holding your breath for 2-3 reps balancing the need for oxygen and the need
for compression of the spine?
Im gonna test that out today when I do back and biceps, I normally breath
in and out rep for rep, I always thought that was the way to go, I dont
think this is bad advice either, he's not talking about holding your breath
for a longtime, only 3 reps, if you feel like you're ready to faint after
some sets that way then you shouldnt be in the gym in my opinion.
he said breathing in and out in every rep is for amateur at 5:10 onwards
and at 6:55 isnt that too heavy for your elbows?? I think you are the one
whose been telling people the wrong info on lifting weights..people will
end up in the hospital bed cause of you or even worse they might end up
dead!
With lighter weights and reps you would hold your compression for shoter
periods. For heavier reps/weights and max lifts you would hold your
compression longer because it wold take longer to finish your rep. Don't be
stupid and breathe normal while attempting a max lift, you will hurt
yourself.
