This is dumb. You shouldn't be allowed to sue over something so innocent.
The teens that do this are assholes. As a small child you would not
remember agreeing to letting parents post a picture of you. If the parents
go to prison, the kids will be end up be taken care of by strangers
probably. It does more harm than good.
I understand the idea of the law, of protecting the Children's privacy.
Because of the reasons explained in the video by Julia (safety), but also
because some parents go ahead and post super embarrassing stuff that the
kids don't want to see that affect them mentally. I remember there are some
cases where parents have recorded their kids being embarrassed after they
did some stupid shit, and then the kid goes into depression and possibly
suicide. I understand the idea of consent there, where they need permission
to post their photo into public space, but suing your parents seems pretty
odd
+TMay™ For sure. I don't understand why people are making a huge deal out of it. Sue-ing people is a last-call measure (if the individual even wants to sue). If a parent posts something super embarrassing and the child wants it off Facebook, what the fuck is wrong with that? How would the parent like it if his child posted some super embarrassing shit?
