This seems to be a tricky way of doing the Magic Ring. I'm sure the lady finds it simple, but believe me there are loads of tutorials on You Tube which make it so much easier. I did it after one try and I'm no genius. Sorry, I didn't write which one I learned from. There are lots of tutorials on YT.

That is the best way to make magic ring. I know it because I've done many crocheting. You don't need to sew the tail, it's very tight already. It's all about practise.

+Kirstin Hoyt Yes you will use new yarn so you will need to make another slip knot and when you are done to tuck that end back into the foot.

+Allison Lowery I might record a full video in the future if I get a proper camera. Right now I'm attaching my phone to a lamp with rubberbands, putting that onto a stack of books, and bending it over my hands. haha! It's not ideal. This is to cover the difficult parts as a stop gap. Everything else not in this video is basic crochet with single crochets and increases/decreases. Intended to be most helpful for those who already have a beginner+ level of skill in crochet. Likely not very helpful for those who are newly beginner as this is a slightly intermediate pattern without the video assistance. Having a problem with the wings.... its says to stuff lightly. Stuff what? So far, it's all in one piece. There is nothing to stuff. The video ended just a little too soon. I don't know what I'm supposed to do next and the pattern is unclear. Am I supposed to fold something?

The only part you will stuff on the wing are the wing arms. Which are the cone shapes you chain from to start the wing.

I'm confused. I keep coming up with needing 12 on the top side each with one in each seam. The bottom is the right count though...is there something I'm missing?

Your neck marker will be where your fasten off stitch is for each piece.
