I did spend time driving it—more than 1200kms. It's great on the highway, incredibly quiet for such a small vehicle. They applied some tricks learned on the Leaf to make the Note quiet at speed. Bumper to bumper? Fine. Just leave a big gap in front and you won't be too stressed! Cabin? Quite quiet once you're up to speed. Ride? Soft. Handles OK; in terms of limits pretty much what you'd expect from a subcompact hatchback. Fit is a nicer drive, but much noisier. Engine is perfectly fine.

TTACvVdeo has a very glowing & thorough 18 min review, & all of the above seem to get high marks. I test drove an SV 2x yesterday and LOVED it, so much I ordered one this color. So excited to start driving it, and this is after 12 yrs driving a small SUV (Kia Sortage 4x4). The Note drives like a dream and the interior feels so roomy, built for 4- 6'4" men to commute in. Can't beat 31mpg city or 40 highway, either. My gas bill will be cut in 1/2. LOVE this car!!!

Perfect setup, the sub compact market is for fuel economy and cost efficiency. Well who hates 40mpg with no extra hybrid batteries. The cvt transmission deletes the cost of trans maintenance. Soon Nissan will be north America's go to dealer for the foreign car market.

You should have spent more time DRIVING it in this review. How's it at highway speeds? While stuck in bumper to bumper traffic? Noisy cabin? Ride? Handling? Engine? Transmission? This review is not very informative at all.

…and the one I drove had a CVT transmission. Again, perfectly fine. It's not built for hot laps, but around town, merging, and in traffic it's fine.

I like it and the inteior room definitely sounds very nice. I just wish Nissan would have made it a little sportier looking, or at least a little better design for the fron headlamps. But seems like it's going to be a good car.

Yes, you're missing a very important factor. More and more safety standards have been added to cars over the years, which increases weight a great deal. This lowers fuel economy.

hmm Versa might be an option for me when I finally ditch the big gas guzzling suv. Never thought gas would be my deciding factor in my search.

Not too bad of a car for those that need the MPGs. I'd sure as hell take it over the Prius any day. My car averages 17MPG lol.
