Davidson Presbyterian Wicks Organ Pt. 1

This is me at my first attempt to play the Wicks pipe organ at Davidson Presbyterian Church. This is the first actual pipe organ that I've played.

@karen1274 i had the pedals set on a softer stop. the first few minutes, there is no sound from the pedals because i was still trying to figure out how to work the keyboard, but you'll hear the pedals in my next two vids

Keep playing! One day you will enjoy using and understanding ALL the stops! There's nothing like a real pipe organ, and it's always great to see young people getting interested. Brava!

@Geersification For the Wicks Records, where is Opus #56 located now? I would imagine its a tubular pneumatic. Did you have the instruments orginal action restored?

We have a Wicks 1911 #56 and we just restored it. wicks did nt know how to restore it, so we called a Mr. Philip Hoening from Iowa, a great oragn form the past

my prayers go out to yall the church members. It broke my heart to hear the radio traffic from the fire dept while they were fighting the fire.
