Hi Greg, wow I had completely forgotten about this upload. I used Camtasia to capture the screen and audio (set to stereo mix) of course I used the free version which doesnt have very good quality which shows in this video. Very glad to meet a fellow aviation enthusiast :)

For people wondering how all of this works... GPSGate has done some videos here to help explain some of it. Not all of it, but much of it. Search for GPSGate and find the user account, watch their videos. The Server install is free for up to 5 clients, which is great. The NO-IP DNS stuff is also free, which is great. GPSGate may have an app for the phones, but i haven't yet finished my own setup / testing. Good luck, and thanks much Chandin69 for pointing us in the right direction.

Great episode, Pat. I'm curious about the way you structured your supporting points with the best one last. I've always heard and agreed with the position that you should always assume that your reader drops off reading somewhere midway through your article so you should load it with the best stuff first. Anyone have thoughts on that?

Good stuff! I really like your blog post workflow - the tip about starting with the transformation you want readers to make is awesome. When scripting videos, I've been writing down notes for both Quick Wins and In-Depth Education I want to provide, but I think I'll give this method a try too. The bit about how you order your tips is cool as well. I could suggest a lot of tools, but I'll just cover a couple here. First, I've been really enjoying Greenshot (Windows-only) for taking screenshots on Windows. I'm actually a bit disappointed that OS X doesn't have something this good; while Dropbox has that quick sharing option, Greenshot will do the same thing, but will also allow you to open an quick image editor first for annotating, and gives you option for doing other things like uploading to Imgur or - and this is the best one - copying the shot to the clipboard. This saves me a TON of time when I'm taking screenshots for videos, since I bring them into Photoshop first. Secondly, there's an app for OS X called ScreenFloat. It lets you take a screenshot, then "floats" that shot on top of all other programs. This is really useful if you're on your laptop and don't have a second monitor, but want to float some data you need to refer to on the screen. For instance, if I write an outline in Evernote, I can float it next to WordPress as I fill out the editor during pre-writing.

This was the first King's Quest game I ever played. Really got me into the series. It was pretty challenging for me when I was younger. I also have fond memories of the Bill & Ted game for pc. I think it came with like a phone book or something. Any chance of that game making an appearence? It's a decent point-and-click. Plus...it's Bill & Ted, so what could be better!
