yes, keep the engines behaving more like their stock counterparts, while
being more powerful. turbochargers need internal modifications to make good
power, they aren't as streetable the larger they get, though when there are
small well engineered ones, your car is more powerful, and more efficient
as well. but when both platorms are running full potential with built
engines/internal modifications, turbocharged engines tend to make quite a
bit more monster power.i subbed, feel free to do the same!
:] yessir agree except you cannot add cylinders lol the same way you add
displacement (bored/stroked). but yes theoretically, but some engines with
impeccable designs such as the 2JZ, 4g63, and the RB26 engines defy those
laws, but spool due to the lack of displacement is not the best, nor is
torque, but the power curve is what matters, on het street torque normally
translates to wheelspin and whether or not your car will pick up speed from
a certain part of the rev range etc. :]
you're right, its displacement and intake pressure mostly. However
cylinders do play a role, the more cylinders the more power you can
theoretically extract. this can also increase displacement too. its one of
the reasons that for efficiency you have 3-4 cyl while for power 6,8 even
16cyl engines are used. of course you can still make tons of power out of
4cyl, Mitsubishi evo for example. for a basic hp formula, (rpm X
torque-lbs)/5252. both torque and rpms give you power.
does it have an engine? I'm interested! being a younger person i am more
familiar with models of the 1980 and up. but i love classics. I love sheer
simplicity. I love cars that are more 'man and machine'. TVR's, corvettes,
older BMW's, Fairlady Z. you name it! I love tuners but im more of a 'keep
it clean' rather than adding 700hp to a civic, unless its strictly for drag
racing, then sure, go right ahead :P. and yourself?
seen something similar. it would cause better acceleration off the line,
but lose top end power, which usually isn't needed/experienced on the
street, neat! superchargers and small turbines do similar things. the
supercharger widens the torque/power curve, sometimes depending on
specifications and size, puff out at the upper end of the rev band. nice
talking to another knowledgeable automobile enthusiast.
correctomundo. with new technologies its amazing what less cyclinders can
do now. I saw this drag racing engine tune vid where they put this new
intake manifold on an engine this made the power go to 380 to 365 ish.
however, the reason is that it shifted the torque curve down. this engine
now could rev faster at lower rpms and pull harder off the start meaning it
actually made the car faster with less hp!
don't use that ricer argument of double the cylinders, hardly ever means
anything. there have been 3.X liter V12's, 2.X liter V8's from our Italian
car manufacturers. displacement is what matters more than that, and so does
power, torque not as much but the power and torque curve the most, and
aerodynamics, and chassis, and traction, weight kinda, matters less as
power increases.
hmm favorite cars would probably be the ZR1, tvr griffith 500, tvr
chimaera, Noble M600, Ferrari 458, e46 M3, c63 AMG. to name a few. and if
we count race cars probably the BRM v16 and the Rally Group B Audi sport
Quattro. What about you?
:) yessir. btw, just wondering, are you more interested in newer production
cars and production tuning cars/packages or older classics, or everything
inn general or are you a tuner guy?
Good driving as always.. My parents live abroad, so I know how you feel, I
really hate waiting around but just think about those lovely Porsches!!,
Gaming, check out the place and the local talent! Good luck mate, take
care.
2.5 men? family guy? how about watching some seinfeld. i could pick 20
episodes for you that would easily cover your 9 hour layover. will
gtforum.eu allow US racers this year to compete in the ladders?
You can download steam on your laptop and play some games on it (you have
to buy them but you can get some pretty cheap ones too) at the airport or
read a book, watch some movies, visit the shops.
well u should watch Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia instead of 2 and a
half men for the love of God..................... for the love of God Chris
please.
