There was once a time when conservatives defined "traditional marriage" as a White man and a White woman. That's it. Whites couldn't marry non-whites, etc. The opponents of this didn't want to "Change marriage" they wanted to make it equal, so that if two people of different races loved each other, they could get married. The same thing is happening now, we aren't trying to change marriage, since every culture has a different meaning of the word, we just want to make it more inclusive. Cheers.

By the why i just want u to know that I will conced if you make a valid point and let me offer one to you right here and now...GAYS ARE FIGHTING AGAINST THE church and I feel it is a bigoted attack agaist the very lifestyle of gays.. I agree to that! but were i feel they have gone wrong is not addressing the issue of rights like blacks did! Black did not say abolish race.. they said give us our rights. period! Well if this is the case... Then Dont Re-Define something has been in place since the 1500's... Pass a federal Domestic union that have the same rights as Merry ol marriage... BUT hARK who goes there the Right and Left Who want to keep this issue alive and Moving the Gays who want that DAM Title and the Right Who dont want Gays to be Well GAY... SO lets solve the issue with a Com-Pro-Mize.... and Domestic Union law passed by Feds thats makes the UNION the same as a Marriage end of fight next!

PERIOD..IM ALL FOR A UNION that gives the same rights as gay Marriage... Get your facts str8 You cant just walk in a church and say "HEY THATS TOO OLD AND TOO WRONG WE DONT LIKE IT U HAVE TO CHANGE!" Because now we are so enlighten? when the spartians and Romans had populations with far more gays never changed the true meaning? and we have less now? Please make me understand how someone who chooses to have sex the same gender should be allowed to married... if you really ever crack open any study on marriage , especially in Rome & Sparta, you would know that Marriage as YOU know it is really only less than 200 years old. Marriage was a civil contract between families for land and /or wealth / power. The couple were often strangers days before the wedding. Women were for bringing male children into the family. Often female children were left out to the elements to die. READ A BOOK and learn about the subject you argue here

Uh No because i am not thwe one trying to change it so they can fit in...look when black fought for their rights no one said hey let change the definition of what White is Did they? But they still have laws to protect black. Called Civil right laws... Why are black Diffrent somehow.. What can we all just be called White or human? we are the same right...So Now we need a prop W for changing the definition of White!.

@biggiejackson LOL there are some churches who believe its ok for gays to be married. mi opinion? marriage should be done at the discretion of the individual church. if they choose to marry them then the government should not have a law in place that overrides and negates what a church decides.
